Beautiful gem in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood with a peaceful and serene courtyard. Huge rooms with comfortable beds and amazing breakfast each morning! Great communication and flexibility. Perfect location and easy to get to the University of Washington campus or downtown Seattle. Would definitely stay here again in our future visits, thank you for everything!

Perfect Capitol Hill location. Quiet beautiful neighborhood. We loved the space and privacy of the carriage house but the other rooms are also charming. David was most helpful and kind. Would love to stay there again.

The only meal eaten with other guests is breakfast and I remember being disappointed because it heavily featured muffins, which I typically don’t go for, but these were fresh DAMN GOOD MUFFINS. Chatting up other travelers was fun, too. No pressure to sit down for a long while.

The owner and operator was a cool person and the room was very cozy and frumpy. The location can’t be beat. Would recommend for a weekend stay.

David is an amazing host. The place is clean and the breakfasts are delicious. We flew to Seattle from Detroit and arrived in the morning. David was very understanding when we showed up. He immediately offered us espressos and offered use of the common area until check-in time. He and fellow guests from around the world made our whole time here a delight. They accommodated my gluten free vegan eating. The neighborhood is safe, we made heavy use of public transportation and rented a car from Budget on Pike Street to travel to Mount Rainier and back.

We stayed for two nights and it was a wonderful experience. First of all, we got a pleasant surprise as our room was upgraded. The location is good for sightseeing. Also it is close to Capitol Hill where you can find all kinds of restaurants. Very quiet at night. The house itself is very beautiful with classical interior decor. There is a grand piano in the living room. According to David, the owner, it is tuned every year. We played a few pieces and the sound is excellent. Breakfast was good and we did enjoy staying there. We will come back next time when we come to Seattle.

Had work conference in south lake union and this was by far the most affordable option I could find. I was pleasantly surprised by the hospitality and breakfast. Super good home made breakfast and the host goes above and beyond to accommodate the guests. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a Seattle bed and breakfast or just an affordable hotel alternative.

This B&B was wonderful. David is a very friendly and gracious host. It is in a nice neighborhood that is great for a stroll or some peace and quiet. It is also within walking distance of parks, restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores and other retail / service stores. We stayed in the Carriage Suite it was roomy and charming. The bathroom was uniquely designed but spacious. The bed was very comfortable, I usually don’t sleep well when we travel but I slept well. The couch was comfortable to lounge on. There were some very sweet artistic touches with the toilet paper, tissues, and paper towels that added an extra detail that made it feel regal. [Photo included.] The Carriage Suite has its own entrance, so it feels like your own little house, which I liked much better than a hotel. However, there are communal spaces in the main house if you want to stretch your legs or just want a change of scenery. There is also a courtyard with a fountain and tables and chairs to enjoy the fresh air. Breakfast was French toast, one of my favorites. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the experience. I have already raved about it to our friends and family. We will absolutely be back again and will refer the Cecil Bacon Manor Bed and Breakfast to others.
