Overall, our stay was pleasant, but the resort stops short of being labeled 5-star. There were just too many misses.||What works:||Check-in is pleasant and efficient.|The pool scene and most of the common grounds are in great shape.|Location is easy, and getting around the resort is not difficult.||What needs improvement and keeps it at a 4 star resort rather than a 5 star resort:||We had plans to leave for dinner but were encouraged to dine at their main restaurant. Against my better judgment we agreed. What a mistake. One bartender for the entire restaurant and bar area. Waited forever for drinks, even after food was served. Our waiter, finally showed up with the drink and said "i got tired of you waiting so I hopped behind the bar and made it myself"....it tasted exactly as you would expect. I am guessing it was his first time making a martini. The entire experience was bizarre and clumsy. They were complete short staffed and the staff that was there was completely uninterested.||Our exterior space at our room had leaves that looked like they had not been raked in about four months. The build up around the perimeter was really awful to look at.||We called room service to have a small item delivered. They said it would be to us in 20 minutes. After two hours elapsed, I called again and they seemingly had no idea what we were talking about.||And for the love of god, but some towels in the rooms that are not the same towels from Motel 6. ||We will not return without substantial improvement.

We returned to celebrate our 10-year anniversary, expecting the same outstanding experience we had the first time. Unfortunately, the only thing that seemed to have changed was the price—now over $1,000 per night. For that amount, we expected pristine accommodations, but instead, we were met with cracked tile in the entryway and a moldy shower. Bringing it up would have likely meant the hassle of switching rooms, which we didn’t have time for, so we just dealt with it.

The staff we interacted with were friendly, but service levels have clearly declined. Every time we tried to use the car service, we were told they were understaffed and unavailable. A concierge even mentioned that they used to have a team of eight, and now they’re down to just two. The attention to detail that made our first visit special was noticeably missing—everything just felt a little less polished, including staff presentation.

The backyard water fountain, which was supposed to add to the ambiance, wasn’t even working. Instead of a peaceful, flowing feature, it was just sitting there with stagnant, dirty water. Not exactly the luxury experience we had in mind

It’s disappointing to spend this much money only to leave feeling like it wasn’t worth it. Not sure we’ll be back—this place just doesn’t live up to the hype anymore.

I would stay here again for the mattress alone! The Bryte mattresses were so comfortable! That's always a risk when staying at hotels, because my back tends to act up. But after a long day of wine tasting, being able to curl up on one of those mattresses was amazing. The rest of the amenities were great-super friendly staff, clean property, very well located. The drinks at the bar were quite pricey without being that good, but you're in wine country anyways.

We recently returned to Carneros Resort & Spa after having a great experience two years ago, but unfortunately, the service and overall attention to detail have noticeably declined.||While the property itself remains beautiful, the service was just average, with small but frustrating lapses in quality. For instance, there was still soap from a previous guest left in our shower—an oversight that shouldn’t happen at a resort of this caliber. Additionally, we were charged for a four-person double king room but were unable to access the second suite due to a poor design concept, which felt misleading.||Breakfast is technically “included,” but the offerings are extremely limited—no eggs, no yogurt to accompany the granola, just toast and fruit—so unless you’re okay with a sparse selection, you’re forced to order off the menu at an additional cost.||Compared to our last stay, the level of service and attentiveness from staff has decreased significantly. Given the premium pricing, we expected a much higher standard, and unfortunately, Carneros did not deliver. We won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it based on our most recent experience.

Once one of the best, now sub par due to the food experience- or lack there of. Why Napa? Posh resort experience, exceptional food and wine. 2 out 3 if you stay at Carneros now. The main restaurant Farm use to be exceptional. The Head Chef now has completely ruined the restaurant. We had shellfish taste in every dish, the steak was ruined, the Caesar tasted like rotten fish, an inedible meal on a special night. The hilltop breakfast buffet is a half step better than a Holiday Inn. Lunch pool side is “ok” and the only place the new Chef hasn’t ruined is Boon Cafe- still superb. I heard many complaining about the New Chef- it’s going to hurt this once prestigious resort. Also, the main lobby staff, concierges and experience has suffered terribly as well. Lacks polish, class and refinement. You also have to BEG to get your room cleaned and serviced. ||Heading to lower ratings fast. Sadly. This has always been my Napa go to from the city.

We had our wedding at Carneros in the fall of 2024, and it was an absolute dream! After our initial tour of the venue, we had our fingers crossed that the estimate would be within our budget, and we were ecstatic when it was. The service from start to finish was amazing. Jessica, our event manager, was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and truly a pleasure to work with. The catering service was prompt and professional, and the food and drinks were incredible. The property itself is so gorgeous and luxurious, whether it's the venue spaces or the accommodations. It truly felt like a "wine country" wedding and was the perfect location for our intimate, romantic ceremony and reception. I don't know if people were just being kind, but we had guests saying it was the best wedding food and most gorgeous venue they've experienced. I cannot recommend Carneros enough, and we are so incredibly grateful for everyone and everything there.

Loved the heated bathroom.. Cottage was adorable, nearly enough room to store luggage and what not. We called to request ice, a few times, without receiving. We also, during our week stay, returned to an unclean cottage, yes, we left our "please clean cottage light on" The "included breakfast" was eh, at best. Nice and accommodating staff, they were amazing. For the price overall, stay at a nearby hotel, five minutes away.

Overall FANTASTIC experience from the moment we arrived throughout our stay. ||Great for families, kids, spa days, couple getaways. The food at FARM was amazing. ||So many amenitites including multiple pools for kids or adults only, pickleball, gym, marekt, tasting room, boutique, bar, games, vegetable garden, scenic pastures and the privacy of your own casita with porch and private yard. Don't forget the outdoor shower and fire pit. Live music and exceptional service start to finish.||We'll be back soon for a longer stay!
