This place charged us 131.85 . My husband called to see if there was a room available that we could look at before we decided whether or not we were going to stay there. She said it was not ready till 4 PM and asked for his credit card. He gave her the number and she charged the card before we even came up, and looked at the room. Within the hour, we looked on the reviews and saw bad reviews for this place and decided we did not want to stay there. He called her back and she had already charged our card. It came out on our statement. And we called the hotel to talk to the manager , and the manager refused to tell me her name. And she also said that’s just their policy. If this place wants business, they need to be more honest. The woman on the phone said nothing about any cancellation policy if we did not decide to take the room. I would not recommend this place.

Across the street from Cap Sante Marina with 2 small parking lots, disabled space and on street overflow. Standard room includes basics, TV, Keurig, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, floor fan, deadbolt. No hot tub. Q Mattress uncomfortable but area quiet. Bathroom very clean but short toilet - difficult for mobility impaired! Table chairs wobbly. Office opens 11am which is checkout time and breakfast snack and tea/cocoa unavailable. Would stay again but different room, different bed. Downtown banks, cafes, shopping, marina restaurants within walking distance!

Place is a dump. Nice location but not well maintained. Pets welcome but you’ll get the nastiest room that smells like pee and they charge you $35 PER PET, PER NIGHT! So if you have 2 small dogs it’s an extra $70 per night which puts you over $200 an night! You’re better off in an Airbnb for that price. Trust me, save your $$

I would not recommend this place to anyone. They charge us $131.84 to make a phone call to see if they had any rooms available. They said we couldn’t look at the room until 4 o’clock. And one of my husband‘s credit card to hold it until we could look at the room and decide whether or even wanted it or not. Hour of calling we looked at the reviews and they were not good so we called back within the hour and told her we did not want the room. We were not coming up to look at it. They had already charged our card $131.84. We called to talk to a manager and she would not even give us her name. And said she would talk to the person and get back to us. We did not even stay there. We didn’t even go up there and they charge us $131 she said that it was for a cancellation fee and that was just their policy. When we talk to the woman on the phone initially, she said nothing about a cancellation fee. I don’t believe this is a good way to do business if you want to have repeat customers or any customers.

Arrived to a chilly reception with notice that the motel had changed hands. Day 2, the keys didn’t work and no one was onsite at 9:45 am - person answering the phone was rude; gave us a temporary key. A full day was planned and at 9:30 pm, we received a call from the manager yelling on the phone - the otherwise quiet dinner table could hear her. Leaving the dinner early- we arrived to find we were locked out. Police were called. Language barrier, culture differences? We were not allowed in the room until we said sorry. This was the craziest experience with a management person we’ve experienced in decades of travel. ||As other reviews stated, older hotel, hard pillows, ok beds and a loud refrigerator. We will not stay here again.

Customer service is absolutely abysmal! I made a last minute reservation with Expedia and put the wrong date. Within 2 minutes I realized what I had done and tried to get it fixed. The refused the waiver and rudely hung up on expedia customer service who was all too willing to allow the change. I know it's a grungy little motel but the location and price is why I have stayed there in the past but never again. They're just greedy as my mistake would have costed them nothing to fix but they chose the low road. Shame on you Cap Sante Inn!

**HUGE ALLERGY WARNING**

The smell was atrocious, and the window wouldn't open. I'm not overly chemically sensitive and have very minimal allergies, but whatever they used to clean left an unbearable stench, leaving me with such a horrid migraine that I couldn't even get out and enjoy myself -- which only trapped me with more of the smell. It felt like being poisoned and completely ruined my trip. Anyone with sensitivities or asthma or anything -- stay ANYWHERE else. The sense that I was marinating in toxins was enough to give me nightmares. And let me repeat: I'm not that sensitive!

I'm giving 2 stars rather than 1 because the shower was nice -- great water pressure and always hot. I stay in a lot of cheap motels, and that's rare. But I wouldn't stay there again. I had to put my luggage outside when I got home to air it out. I've never reviewed a place like this, but I can't in good conscience not warn people with health issues.

I have stayed in this motel a number of times. These folks need some help in learning how to run a service business. I’m going to give them a break by saying that they’re just learning. The room is actually better than in some years, but the place is out of control. The TV has “no signal” and they don’t seem to care. It is now 8:00pm and there is a freaking wood chipper running in the parking lot. I had booked three nights, but I will be out of here in the morning. Unbelievable. Some charitable sole needs to give them some advice. On the plus side, it IS a new experience. Awful, I hope they can pull it out. I just don’t think they know.
