This place is barely a 1 star, barely. Uncleaned bedspreads with stains, filthy carpets, etc. Bathroom was OK. Breakfast was a couple packaged granola bars -- we left very early for a Denali tour. The only reason we stayed here is because the was no vacancy in Denali. We were awakened by blaring train horns at 1:30 am and around 4:00 am, not to mention a helicopter hovering near our location sometime in between. If you can avoid staying here, I would recommend it.

It's nice enough, but it's under new management. There is now no bar. There is no cafe/restaurant. It's an old social club with rooms. Once you arrive this is obvious. The host is friendly. The continental breakfast is good, and the offering is updated every day. Be sure to read recent reviews, as it's a different kettle of fish. Everything works. There is nothing nearby, so plan for a drive to find a restaurant, or supermarket for food. The nearby garage sells chips and candy. The train toots it's way past twice every night. The odd little plane lands and takes off from the runway 50 yards away. Look for Cantwell landing on youtube. It's different clean and quirky.

The location of Cantwell Cabins is quite something! If you enjoy adventure and wild frontier terrain (...and railways!) then this is the place to stay. Just half an hour from the entrance to Denali NP. The guest house is comfortable and convenient. Recommended for short stays.

Cynthia welcomed us very well, she is a very lively person, always willing to help and give the best tips. The room is good, the bed is excellent, everything is very clean and the cake she makes is wonderful. It exceeded expectations. In the next opportunity we will choose this lodge again.

Perfect place to stay if visiting to Denali National Park. Nice, clean and cozy rooms. Host is very welcoming. Early morning breakfast are delicious, some of them are home cooked. I loved the banana bread and quiche.

We loved spending a night at the lodge. A party of 5 friends. Everything was really clean and smelling delicious mostly blankets. Very cozy room. And the host was so nice. Plus the breakfasts was yummy.

This is a quaint lodge with 4-5 guest rooms. The interior is a bit of a maze but you will have fun exploring the breakfast area, book/game shelves, and the restaurant. Menu includes mostly bar food except on Taco Tuesday. Restaurant is super convenient but closes on Sunday/Monday and there aren’t many other food options close by. I appreciated the public restrooms when half of our party had gone to sleep for the night. Full sizes washer and and dryers available for a small fee. This place wasn’t fancy but it was very clean and a nice location for accessing Denali.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. The room we were in had a door to outside and into the lodge which was nice. Amazing view from our room also. Dinner was great and also they know how to cook a steak. The breakfast had a good variety of items to choose from. The staff was very nice and helpful. Will definitely be coming back for weekend getaways in the future.
