I had an amazing experience at the Canopy by Hilton in Tempe. The great room was spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed, offering both comfort and style. The service was exceptional—the staff went above and beyond to ensure a perfect stay.

One of my favorite touches was the Nespresso machine in the room, which made mornings so much better. The attention to detail throughout the hotel made it clear they prioritize guest comfort.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a wonderful stay in Tempe. I’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic stay at Canopy! We just drove in overnight from Northern California and needed a room right away when we arrived midday to get some rest & Yartiza was able to accommodate us right away. The location is great, with everything just nearby. The rooftop pool/lounge area & restaurant was a pleasant surprise! Loved how we can just communicate easily with front desk via text message. Overall wonderful quick stay!

My son and I visited this Canopy Tempe as part of a short Grand Canyon holiday trip. I don't often write a hotel review, but this was just such a nice stay - the location, facilities, staff - I would be remiss not to mention it. We enjoyed the rooftop pool, the breakfast downstairs was amazing, and the drinks and food on the rooftop were as well. Easily recommend and will choose this hotel when returning to the area in the future!

This place was hard to find, the suite was not what expected. I don’t know why they call it a suite when the only thing that separates the bed area from the sitting area was a pony wall about 4ft high. Very disappointed. The hotel was full so couldn’t change rooms. We were on the third floor with a lovely view of the parking garage. Parking fees off the charts $39/day. It is great though for parents visiting their students at the university. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast offered at the hotel if you pay extra but is good with great menu choices. Upstairs on the roof has good food but the area to sit outside and enjoy dinner while the sun sets is limited. We are a senior couple with grown children but perhaps younger folks will like it more. They are so busy housekeeping didn’t come to clean room until after 5 after we called the desk. The gym is great with good equipment and nice views from the 13th floor. Facilities were very clean and we felt very safe. Staff was great

I definitely had mix feelings at the end of my stay - this by no means is a bad hotel, but I was anticipating a more “upscale” atmosphere.

Rooms - spacious, nicely decorated but finished were very cheap. There are so many light switches, none were labeled so that was a little annoying. There were dents and scratches on the walls, not the biggest issue. Bed was comfy!
Amenities - didn’t check out the gym. Coffee in room was great. The pool - the pool was nice, the seating was smaller. I didn’t realize that they sold “passes” for non-guests to go to the pool (Cabanas were for paid rental only). For a 4-star hotel, I anticipated a more “exclusive” experience. Luckily I didn’t go during busy season, there would most likely be no where to lay out and as a guest, I would think we would be a priority. Also, they had a public Halloween party so the pool closed early on Saturday, which was annoying.
Staff - all were very nice and pleasant. When I arrived I had drinks at Alibi in the afternoon and there was 1 bartender working (who also worked all the tables & pool guests). There were over 30 people there so getting drinks were tough. Not his fault though!
Deposit - I knew this place most likely had a deposit, but I could not find it ANYWHERE on the website for even when I confirmed on their website. It’s $100 per night.
Food - didn’t get a chance to try the food, the menu didn’t really appeal to me.
Location - great location from Mill Ave and if you want to take a trip to Downtown Phoenix or Scottsdale

Overall - For $200+ per night plus $100/nt deposit, 4-star, my expectations are slightly higher. If I had known they operate as a hotel and public facility, I would have gone elsewhere. Typically, 4-star hotels offer a more exclusive environment, private and relaxing. I will certainly be back but unfortunately I will not be choosing the Canopy.

First, the bad…. The bathroom barn door does not shut properly! A relationship is much better with privacy when using the toilet. How hard is it to install a proper door? Apparently very hard because the door into the sleeping area also didn’t close properly. Also, my room was lacking a privacy sign, so I asked for and received one delivery to my room. I received it while I was still in the room. I removed it when I went out for the day (around 10am). Room was never serviced. ||Otherwise, this is a really nice hotel. Fantastic lobby. Live music the two weeknights I was there. Comfy chair in the room. Netflix and YouTube on the TV. Nearby to lots of restaurants. Short Uber to the airport. Extremely convenient to ASU. ||I would come back, but I sure hope they get the bathroom doors to work.

Stayed overnight for the NYE party at the hotel. Check-in staff were super friendly and fast. The room was comfortable and clean. We had a good time and left the next morning with ease. Highly recommended.

The hotel was excellent from the rooftop bar, gym, and Alter Ego restaurant. You could tell the staff took pride in their work. Wonderful Thanksgiving meal and breakfast. Tony the car valet was prompt and took great care of the car. The front desk texted me about my needs daily and always greeted me.
