We had a great stay. The property is very unique. Lots of outdoor seating areas and music piped throughout the complex. It was a fun vibe. Our room was right next to the fire pit so it was interesting to feel like there was a party outside until quiet hours at 10pm, but it wasn't disruptive, just different. And everyone respected the 10pm quiet down. Our room was comfortable and clean, the walls are thin but again, after 10, everyone was quiet so it wasn't a problem. We would stay again if traveling this way in the future.

Overall, our stay the Campfire Hotel was great. The service was amazing! The rooms were incredibly clean with nice amenities in it (mostly for purchase). The walls were a little thin, but that wasn't as issue aside from Saturday night. The firepit, pool, and canteen promoted a lot of community - folks often socializing over drinks. Location is also great. Easy walk to downtown Old Bend. Plenty of parking. And in the winter, they're a 3 minute walk to the bus stop that has a shuttle up to Mt. Bachelor. Would come back!

This entire place is such a welcoming vibe. Checking in was easy, and the front desk staff was really helpful and allowed me to choose a room that was available. The room was big, very clean, and the decor was awesome. Everywhere you look around, you really get that cozy camp feel. The room was stocked with goodies from candy to beer for purchase. The canteen is a very cute bar on site, but my favorite was the breakfast burrito food cart, what a great idea for folks like me who needed to grab something on my way out for a long day of skiing. Their hot tub and pool were also clean and relaxing. I really appreciated that they stick to their 10pm policy of keeping the noise down. Because of the amenities for a great hangout spot, folks can get kind of loud having a great time, but at 10pm both nights it was completely silent. The location, you’re surrounded by grocery stores and restaurant. Fire on the mountain wing spot is just around the corner. Thank you for such a wonderful stay, I will definitely be back!

Attention to detail for the camping theme was so well executed! It was cute and cozy. Arriving at night, we especially loved all the warm orange lights and giant firepit, such a vibe. They also had a bar with live DJ on Saturdays till 10pm plus a pool and hot tub we'd like to check out next time. Friendly service and helpful dog welcome bag with treats and dog friendly recommendations in area. The in-room beer & wine was convenient after a long day. 10/10 would be back again. Plus it was super affordable.

The staff was helpful and friendly. Check in went quickly! The room was spacious and I loved the retro, mountain decor! I didn’t get a chance to use the pool or hot tub but I walked by several times and it was clean and nicely arranged. Of course all the fire pits give the place a cozy feel. I will definitely stay again!

As a family of 5 we loved staying here! Best pool and hot tub experience! Perfect temp, pool toys and life vests for the kids! Great drink selection in the fridge and rooms were decked out with details! Great drip coffee too! Perfect stop before hitting the slopes!

Well. The staff are super friendly. And there is a burrito and coffee truck setup outside!!!
Beautiful pool area. Heck the place is gorgeous from the outside. Love the vibe. I just got a message from the hotel management. Well the service stars just went up for the reply.
I will say this.
And I understand this fully and completely that as in life. There are somethings going on there beyond the control of the ownership and management.
Ok. Fair enough. I understand.
But. You have to be willing to accept criticism when it’s fair and not misleading.
Nothing I stated in my previously posted comment was wrong or in anyway way aimed to mislead the future patrons of this establishment. However. Stay at your own risk. Read all the reviews. You’ve been fairly warned.

Don’t know if they have construction going behind here.
But it’s LOUD!!! Starting about 5:00 am. I am
Never staying here again. So loud. Could not sleep at all.

Pictures are really not what you get. The room was beat up.
It seriously smelled like a gym locker room.
Now

It says non smoking but someone had been smoking or smoked out at the fire pit all night and stayed in here.
Room was clean. A++ but it smelled.
Microwave and fridge are not good.
no freezer.
And. The little fridge you get. And it’s full of beer. So guess what! You can’t put your food in there to begin with. Haha.
Shower curtain rail was about to fall off. Someone was outside at 330 am tearing through the recycle bins.
Dumping them out.
Did not realize this place was next to like homeless camp #1 in bend.
Pretty dissatisfying overall
Bed sucks too.
They get really bad reviews on a lot of things. Noise mostly.
And they get mad if you tell the truth. So take lots of photos of everything that’s wrong and be sure to note everything that is right.

Solid, no frills experience. We were glad we stayed here during our ski vacation to Bend. The front desk service was so kind and welcoming, the room was comfy, and the hot tub and heated pool were awesome to come home to after a day on the slopes. I would have loved a bit more furniture in the room to store all our gear, but that’s about it.

Initial impressions were positive. There’s definitely a theme that the owners are going with. Overall a decent place, but it seems as though comfort and convenience is sometimes sacrificed for the theme with a lack of attention to detail and customer service.

1. Front desk staff on check in seemed preoccupied. Other than running my payment card and giving me keys, they told me nothing about the property other than the parking situation.

2. Parking is “1st come 1st serve”. When we returned later in the evening, all parking was full so we parked around the corner on the street. A fair bit of the main parking lot has been converted for outdoor seating areas and food truck use. I didn’t mind parking on the street, but guests that are more paranoid about their cars should be aware.

3. The camping theme extends to the rooms. Our room had retro folding camp chairs instead of traditional chairs. While they fit with the theme, they aren’t comfortable to sit in.

4. Our room slept 4, but there were only enough towel linens for 3. There was only enough in-room coffee service for 2 people. This is Oregon, please provide more in-room coffee.

5. There was no information packet in the room describing hotel services, etc. The place seemed to have decent amenities but a little more information about it would be helpful, either at the front desk on check in or in the room.

6. Large cobwebs above the sink mirror lights. The room was otherwise clean, but this was a glaring oversight.

7. When we made the reservation, we had requested the additional Craft Beer service. It wasn’t provided upon arrival. I wasn’t disappointed but upon checkout I did mention it so that I wouldn’t be charged for it. I was assured that it would be removed from my bill. Despite this, I was charged for it. A refund was eventually issued after several emails.

8. Speaking of billing, apparently there is an “amenities fee” that gets added on. We didn’t use the pool, fire pit, or other common spaces so that’s a bit annoying. Considering how expensive the room was for our one night stay ($364 total for 1 night in the Summer season), the separate charges seem poorly thought out. Either include them in your rate structure or be more transparent and up front about extra fees.

9. Here’s some positive highlights: Convenient location. Next door to Fire On The Mountain. Pool area and other common spaces are appealing and tie in well to the camping theme. Breakfast burrito food cart onsite, can’t go wrong with that. Despite the billing error, the morning front desk staff person was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is apparently very dog friendly. I hope that the owners and management take some small steps to continue to improve the property and guest experience.

After lovely experiences visiting the Hood River hotel, we were excited to stay here. Unfortunately, our expectations were not met. Their branding is cool and we enjoyed some time at the busy pool but the hotel overall was disappointing and missing charm. Rooms were dark and still felt like a motel. Unfortunately this is not a place we will stay again or recommend. You are able to walk or bike into downtown Bend, but it’s not convenient and you’re not walking through the best area.

If your looking for a quiet place to lay your head after traveling. This is not the spot!
This place is just a party hotel. Pool is inaccessible due to belligerent drunks, worst music I have ever heard a DJ play, extremely loud even with the supplied ear plugs in the room... Then the party ended. Finally. Then we had 2 people try to enter our room later in the night. 2 separate times. This place is just a party pit. I will dispute to get my money back.

This is such a unique and fun place! The decor, the amenities, the staff... all contributed to a great outdoor vibe. Very fitting for Bend. We were concerned about the noise from the highway, but it wasn't an issue at all. Our room was down the hill from the lobby and we couldn't hear the traffic. We loved the swimming pool, hot tub and fire pit. We will be back.!
