We chose a sightseeing adventure and it did not disappoint!! The weather was perfect, our guides Derrick and Kristy were excellent, and the views were breathtaking!! We loved beach combing, and spotting deer and wild horses during our trip! Highly recommend!!

Bear viewing tour - great custom service, expert guide and equipment, saw many bears!

We went on a bear viewing tour during our port time on the ferry. Had to schedule a week before and every place I called in my frantic search recommended Derrick and High Caliber if they weren't available. Derrick was the upmost professional from the beginning, flexible with our timeframe and hopes for the trip, and all at a very reasonable price. He also was clear with our chances of seeing a bear other possible difficulties of such a trip. The trip went perfectly, the machines provided a very comfortable ride, Derrick had a wealth of information about local (edible) flora and all fauna he was happy to share (as well as a few amazing hunting stories), we saw many bears, beautiful scenery, some great salmon fishing spots and a nice packed lunch.
Would highly recommend for someone who needs a day activity in Kodiak.

My cousin and I drew mountain goat tags with Derrick and could not have had a better time. Definitely a challenging hunt filled with amazing views, incredible adventure and we both tagged billies on day 7. Be ready to go fully nomadic and have every kind of weather the island will provide and you’ll have an awesome time.
