Came to do a pickup and the place was so cute and the girl was so sweet, she offered me water even though I was picking up for uber eats, very thoughtful. They have a couch and couch chairs and tables and great lighting and atmosphere. It’s quiet I didn’t hear music playing but honestly I liked that, would come back to work here and try their drinks

I absolutely love this place , I always go here for the iced egg coffee. I’ve tried so many from the Bay Area and here and the egg creme is so perfect and I won’t go anywhere else to get this. The coffee is also delicious I’m not a coffee snob but it has this slight hint of nutty almond flavor and I keep coming back for more!!

In a nutshell; good coffee and drink options, they had a self serve boba section to make your own boba which is neat.

Rather neat looking cafe where you can stop by an afternoon and just take a few minutes to decompress and what not. Ok variety of coffee and drink options for you to choose from and the ones I've tried tasted great. The employee didn't really welcome us in though but was still nice throughout taking the order and accommodating to questions and what not. There is a self boba making section that had I believe 5 flavour options (2 or 3 was the same flavor just no sugar or so), didn't get to try that but was a neat idea for you to be able to control your topping portions and what not. Overall neat place to get drinks and chill at.

Met my friend at this place for a drink and something to nibble on, but mostly catching up. This was a happening place as all the tables and sofas were taken by the time we left around 2:30pm.

I really wanted to try their Vietnamese coffee, but I made the smart choice not to as a strong coffee would affect me... badly. Hence, I decided to just get a regular cafe latte. It was pretty warm inside so an iced latte was ordered. Good, the ice would dilute my drink even more. Lol. My friend and I shared the snacks: croissant, mochi waffle, and churro donuts. I liked the mochi waffle, but it was not very special. Also, it was pretty small. The plain croissant was adequate and the churro donut was average. Although I didn't try the Vietnamese coffee, based on what I had, the drinks were better than the food items. 3.5 stars overall, but I bumped it up to 4 since my cafe latte was pretty good. I imagine the Vietnamese coffee (their signature and recommended item) could only be better.

Atmosphere is calm, the baristas were so nice and gave me samples of the two lattes I was debating on.

The lattes themselves don't taste as strongly of coffee as you usually get at cafes, and they're very sweet (think Starbucks frap or Dunkin lattes). But they'd be delicious with half the pumps!

Wouldn't be averse to going back, the vibe is nice and lots of people studying, but not my favorite.

Since coffee and pastries are my guilty pleasures in life, a place that I've had bookmarked for quite some time was none other than "Cafe La Vies". Located at the intersection of Bruceville Rd. & Sheldon Rd. in the north Elk Grove/South Sacramento area, this place has been brewing up some of their amazing and delicious caffeinated beverages ever since early-2021.

Since I wanted to let the hype wear off while this family business worked out all the kinks, I didn't make my visit here until the early afternoon of Sunday 8/8/2021. Parking is fairly easy as this was lot shares other bigger businesses such as 24 Hour Fitness and a movie theater across the street. Once inside, this place is very well lit, inviting, and beautifully decorated. You will notice an abundance of gold trim throughout. Additionally, there is cozy seating in the rear of the building and lots of cool decor to add a lot of pop to this place.

Their drink choices do not disappoint either; you will find a huge variety of espresso drinks, pour overs, blended beverages, teas, and specialty drinks. You will also notice a fairly decent amount of baked goods including cookies, cakes, croissants, and waffles. This place pretty much has you covered to get your morning fix.. and then some.

My order was fairly simple as I went with their "Iced Vanilla Latte" and a slice of their "Blueberry Muffin Cake". Everything was ready in just a few minutes. Since the weather was tolerable (for an August afternoon), I sat at one of their outdoor tables. My iced latte tasted perfectly creamy, and had the right about of sweetness which made every sip a delicious one. The blueberry loaf cake also had an excellent moist flavor but an unusual flavor to it; perhaps it was the sugar or even the blueberries embedded in it. It was just okay for me.

Overall, "Cafe La Vies" was an above average coffee shop that is definitely a warm welcome to the South Sacramento/Elk Grove area. They have very reasonable hours being opened 8am-8pm seven days a week so you can more or less get your coffee fix anytime you want. Not to mention, prices here are reasonable a coffee or espresso drinks costs a little less than major competition. With that said and done, I am giving Cafe La Vies an above average four star rating.

Great customer service! I feel welcomed when I first open the door. Simple but nice decoration
Egg cream coffee is a must try. I did not try any cakes on the counter. But I see they offer quite a lot. I will definitely come back.

The café has elements it can improve on, but it's the best spot for Vietnamese coffee in Elk Grove, hands down. The Vietnamese egg coffee is my absolute favorite.

The menu strikes a good balance between variety and mainstays. I'm not big on the croffle craze, but I do like indulging in the occasional sweet treat with the waffles and chocolate. My friend loved the texture of the mochi waffle. Offering condensed milk with it is amazing.

The café could have better prices, but it's largest area of improvement would be the friendliness of the staff. More than once, I've been treated like an inconvenience, especially when the baristas would rather speak to each other than take an order.

Still, they produce excellent coffee. It redeems them so much that I'm sticking with five stars for this review.
