(Edited)- Autumn handled the situation so well and with so much grace. Mistakes happen and she made sure to compensate me and make up for the previous error. She gave me a free sandwich that was absolutely delicious and up to par. Autumn was very sweet! I really appreciate her attentiveness to customers and handles feedback very well.

I ordered to go, for work. When I opened the box right away I could tell my sandwich was burnt. I get that I ordered a hot pressed sandwich but it was extremely burnt and hard. Ive had this before and didn’t look anywhere near as toasted. It was literally like eating burnt toast which made it hard to enjoy the sandwich.

Delicious Reuben! Sad I didn’t get a chance to try the Cubano but it was very tasty. Ordered via pickup with some friends and it was a great fulfilling lunch.

I eat here at least once a week and tried several sandwiches on the menu. This is the best sandwich place in town. The cold roast beef and roast beef panini are my favorite. The cold sandwiches come with a ton of fresh vegies on them. Recommend to anyone looking for that east cost deli sandwich experience.

I can speak from two experiences; one was when I wondered into the shop and ordered a coffee; I hung out on the cozy small and inviting atmosphere for an hour drinking my coffee and waiting for my partner to get out of work for lunch. It was a comfortable and relaxing place and the coffee (mocha breve) was DELICIOUS.

And recently I just ordered a platter of sandwiches for my company’s training group and the sandwiches were fantastic! The sauce on the sandwiches is delicious, each veggie was incredibly fresh and crisp and the bread wasn’t soggy! And a day before I picked up my order I had to request to make a sandwich gluten free and vegetarian. I called and spoke to Autumn, the owner, and she provided excellent, kind and helpful service easily achieving this for me.

I just served the platters to the training group and their jaw dropped as the presentation is great and they all raved at how wonderful the food is and the gluten need was so happy and she loves her too!! The platters were emptied in minutes so I don’t have a picture but here’s my plate… well what’s left of my 2 half sandwiches lol.

TERRIBLE.

Almost $20 per sandwich and both sandwiches were wrong. They didn't even bother putting cheese on The Italian....which clearly comes with cheese. They left off the jalapeños I paid an extra $1 for on the Beef and Cheddar.

Alara used to be good, but it's declined in quality SHARPLY.

I will not be returning.

I've had 3 different sandwiches delivered from this place and let me tell you. EVERY sandwich should taste this GOOD!! A bit pricey but no more than the rest of Washington. In fact. If you were to source and prepare, with the same quality ingredients, it would cost you more, buying the ingredients from the grocery and/or specialty shops. The only thing is if you prepared yourself, you might be able to eek out 2 Sammies instead of 1.

This club sandwich was the only thing I’ve ever ordered twice , in a row, in my adult life . I usually pride myself on trying new things , but I could not escape its monster savory charm .
Get extra napkins , this is a sandwich my grandma would say “you tuck into”
Do yourself a favor and get it with the amazing rosemary bread . Ask for a side of whisper thin pickles. The service is efficient, the owner is hometown proud and donates locally as well as stocks her larder with hard to gather goodies like COUGAR GOLD cheese tins (3 kinds!) .
Run don’t walk to this lovely new downtown gem!

Stopped in for lunch yesterday with family. We were impressed by the warm welcome, cheerful atmosphere and diverse menu selections. There is something for everyone. We ordered the cold veggie sandwich, a grilled cheese, and the Ruben. We also ordered a green tea, Americano and bought some unique local sodas. The service was quick. Everything was fresh and delicious. We will definitely return if we find ourselves in the area again.
