Great location. Wonderful staff makes you feel like you're at home away from home. Very clean facility. Variety of restaurants with great food. Access to an excellent spa. Definitely recommend. I will definitely return, despite the hurricane!

If you have the an Alaska airlines visa card read below… Great place better than the neighboring resorts by far. Pool temp is perfectly warm and staff is great, Serve yourself for the most part by the pool, staff was few and far between for us. Pool chairs were not an issue and the view is outstanding. We found the food at Arco was far better, just our 2 cents

If you have the Alaska Air Visa there were 3 of us in the lobby and we were all told our cards would not go through, we were also informed this was not unusual. I pushed and they converted my bill to US$ and it went right through. Helpful if your checking out with limited time. Would definitely stay here again.

If you want a nice vacation pick a different place. From the very beginning, Villa La Estancia proved to be a terrible choice. When we were signing for the rooms, we asked them about a temporary charge they would put on our card and the man taking care of our paperwork had the gall to say, "it is easy to follow instructions and sign and the paperwork." We had a question about a charge and that was really rude.

It steadily got worse from there. They charge $9 for a bottle of water at their restaurants and if they mess up your order you better be ready for the back talk and lying. We can read when something is and isn't on the menu. That being said their food is catered to a clientele that doesn't want to eat legitimate Mexican food. Which is sad considering you're in Mexico. If you want food, eat outside of this place. Way more bang for your buck.

Speaking of the town, want to go into town to eat instead? The "head of security" would pester us daily about three things: our use of Uber, their ability to match any time share offers, and how we have to use their taxis. Every time we went out it was the same three things.

This bad review is such a shame considering the Villa was nice and the view was excellent. This could have been a good review, but the attitude this place has about squeezing everything they can from their customers really put a bad taste in my mouth. I'm contemplating asking Costco for a refund that's how upset I am about this experience with them.
