This was another charming coffee shop, conveniently located just a short drive/bike ride from Seahurst Beach, has quickly become my go-to spot for a perfect cup of coffee.

The baristas here are exceptional—each cup is a finely crafted with attention to detail in every pour. Whether you’re in the mood for a rich espresso, tea, a smooth latte, or something more adventurous, they’ve got a wide variety of flavors to satisfy any craving. The quality of the coffee is consistently good, and you can taste the care and expertise in every sip.

The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot to unwind after a visit to the beach or to simply relax with a good book. In addition to their coffee, they offer a tempting selection of pastries and snacks, perfect for pairing with your drink. There’s also a small but curated collection of merchandise, adding a fun, local touch.

Overall - Great coffee, great vibes, and an unbeatable location near the beach—what more could you ask for?

Today, I kept it simple: a cappuccino. And wow—if all I ever drank for the rest of my life was this cappuccino, I think I’d be okay. This wasn’t just a cup of coffee; it was a moment. The milk was so perfectly steamed that I half expected it to start giving me life advice. It was silky, smooth, and just sweet enough—like if a cloud and a marshmallow had a very sophisticated baby.

But let’s talk about the vibe—because Burien Press isn’t just about great coffee; it’s about great everything. The inside has that perfect mix of cozy and modern, the kind of place where you can hunker down with a book, pretend to get work done, or just people-watch in style. And then there’s the back patio—a little hidden gem where time slows down, the conversations get better, and the caffeine hits just right. It’s the ideal spot for a quiet morning or a golden-hour hangout, made even better by their surprisingly solid wine and beer selection. Whether you’re sipping on a crisp white wine or a well-chosen craft beer, it’s clear Burien Press isn’t just a coffee shop—it’s a place you linger.

Lovely establishment with lovely people. So grateful they have GF/DF treats. It’s so popular it’s hard to find a table sometime but the outdoor patio will be lovely when the weather gets nicer!

Another espresso gem! 💎 ☕️ In my espresso snobbish opinion, these places are tough to find as we are in a epidemic of burnt coffee/espresso.

Would you not agree that coffee isn’t getting cheaper (nothing is! 😅). And at the expensive price point of espresso (avg $4 a double shot), I do expect a solid quality tasting product and I find roasteries even burn their espresso and or give a cup of hot muddy water. 🤢

Not this 💎! They provide rich tasting “dark matter. It’s obsidian colored like my soul 😂. In addition they offer fun and unique drink options like cold brew limeade and an espresso tonic and orange bitters! What That sounds weird! Yes please!

The baristas there ( I use the term as they expertly craft their coffee drink and dial in their espresso machine) were kind and laid back.

Bonus: I snagged a dark chocolate sea salt and what it a rainbow sprinkled cookie? (Almost fruit pebbles tasting in the most delicious way possible). Both were really good.

Bonus bonus: this place is also a craft tap room for after noon early evening beer options and they have craft cans and bottles to go as well. I didn’t realize this was also a mini bottle shop!

I hope destiny brings me back to this area, this small town near the airport, and to this gem of an espresso cafe.

Hot Tips: 🅿️ was and looked pretty easy to find in the area.

7 mins from is a beautiful park and beach called Seahurst! Get your delicious coffee and go their from a walk. Parking was also smooth there (it was around noon on a Friday).

Stopped in to catch up with a friend in a lazy Sunday afternoon. Good cappuccino (I had two) and a Fruity Pebbles cookie that was as good as it looked!

Love Burien Press - most importantly, their coffee is on par with the best the Seattle area has to offer, and to top it off, their ambiance and staff are lovely. I've been enjoying their Marizpan seasonal latte lately - not too sweet, just right! The back patio is a great spot to work and hang on nicer days.

Had a layover on our way back home to Tennessee and wanted to try a local coffee shop instead of a big chain starbucks type of place. My coffee and nut bread was awesome. I recently found out I'm allergic to dairy so it was nice seeing that they had options to accommodate that. I'm by no means a vegan or anything so I can't attest to the options for people who do that, but swap milk for something else and I'm on board.

Great spot for a really good cup of coffee. Bakery items are delicious. All the staff is super friendly… No “Seattle ice” attitudes
Back patio is a great place to enjoy your coffee.
