We got married at the Windmill Winery in November 2019. We were fortunate to have the venue approve the use of an outside cater, Bruce Brown Catering. Susan, Bruce, and her staff were amazing to work with throughout the year. To start, we had so much fun during our food tasting a few months before the big day; they made it super special and something to remember through the hecticness of wedding planning, it was a fun little date night for the two of us. The day of I didn’t have to worry at all! Susan and her team helped set up the venue including my extensive seating chart for 165 guests. I must admit I am a bit of a control freak, so it was very hard for me to give my trust over to another to make the images in my head come to life. They exceeded my expectations! Everything was absolutely beautiful and perfect! In addition to the set-up, the food was AMAZING! We did chicken and beef with salad, veggies, and layered potatoes. We are still getting compliments on the food and decor even months later! The Bruce Brown Catering team were professional and helped the planning go off with such ease, thank you Susan, Bruce, and team!!

We could not say more good things about Susan and Bruce's catering business. Susan worked with me to plan the catering for my wedding and was by far the most accommodating and helpful caterer I spoke to. She did so much personalized work to make the wedding fit our budget, and the food turned out so beautiful and delicious. Not to mention, we did all of this during a pandemic and she was incredibly knowledgable and updated on best practices to keep us safe and following local regulations. The owners are very involved themselves and have long running staff who make sure everything is of the highest quality.

Bruce Brown was amazing from beginning to end. Susan was willing to come out and look at the reception space (private home for wedding reception) before my husband and I had even signed a contract because I was concerned about space for all of our guests. She put together a floor plan that was flexible and helped me realize my dream of a backyard wedding was possible. The food was AMAZING, tender, and fresh! So many of our guests talked about the food even days after the wedding was over. We had three types of appetizers and then a buffet style brunch. Susan also put together the florals on our personal cake beautifully and was such a nice personal touch. We appreciate Bruce and Susan so much for making our day so memorable and special for not only us but everyone who was our guest. They went above and beyond our expectations. We cannot wait to work with them again in the future.

Bruce Brown Catering came very highly recommended from a friend. From the initial emails with Susan to developing the menu and actually serving at the event, the process was very easy! I was always able to reach someone by phone or email and receive a prompt response. It was also very important that we stick to a strict budget and Susan and Bruce made that happen! We served a very well rounded meal at our benefit dinner for The Candle Wishes Foundation Arizona and our guests raved about the quality of the food! The buffet table was beautiful and the staff were very friendly and professional. As the host of the event, the staff made sure I took the time to eat! That was amazing! The staff at our venue, SoHo63 in Downtown Chandler, also noticed how smoothly everything went with the food and commented on the professionalism of the Bruce Brown team! We will without a doubt work with Bruce Brown Catering for our future events!

I've been an Event/Wedding Planner for over 15 years and have always loved working with the Bruce Brown Catering team.

Recently, I was the client. My father passed away and I was responsible for all the planning. Susan was an angel. She made the planning for the food, drinks and decor one of the easiest pieces of the planning for the event.

Response time was beyond expectations. The food I knew was always good so I had no worries. I simply didn't have a lot of time nor the energy to review options. I explained the needs and setting and she did all the rest.

The onsite Chef was kind and brilliant with food timing. The servers went above and beyond with the level of service they provided. I had at least 15 of the 40'ish guests ask for the catering staffs business card and so many compliments all day.

I'm forever grateful to Bruce and Susan for helping me during the hardest time in my life.

I highly recommend them. The food is EXCELLENT, fresh and always quality ingredients.

Unlike other reviewers, I used Bruce Brown Catering for a reception following my grandmother's funeral at Hansen Desert Hills.
The whole process couldn't have run any smoother! I was in contact with Susan from start to finish. She was so kind, helpful, and informative. She replied to all my e-mails quickly. Plenty of menu choices that they were kind enough to taylor down to the small size of my reception.
The food was tasty! The drinks were cold. The setting was beautiful. There were small fresh flower bouquets that matched my grandmother's funeral flowers. Susan had asked me what my grandmother's favorite colors were. They were able to provide a lovely pastel pink clothes that didn't look like a baby shower. The young lady(my memory fails me on her name) assigned to our reception was fantastic! She was speedy, unobtrusive and made sure that everything was kept well stocked. I love that she waited until we were actually present to set out the food. It was a hot day and even though we were indoors, in a/c, it really helped preserve the freshness of the food.
The food itself was wonderful. Simple cold sandwiches, fresh fruit, cold pasta salad (loved this version), cookies and icy cold beverages. The sandwiches were fresh, not soggy. The veggie sandwich was great! The fruit in the fruit salad was ripe and sweet. When we were done, our server packaged what was left up for easy transportation home.

We have worked with Bruce Brown Catering for several family events and we have never been disappointed. The most recent event we had them work on for us was our beloved Grandads celebration of life. This wasn't something that was anticipated so we knew we were asking last minute if they could put something together for us and we were thankful for anything they might be able to do. We were beyond satisfied with how everything turned out, Bruce Brown Catering, and Susan, went above and beyond, once again. Susan was very accommodating and went out of her way to make sure things looked wonderful, tasted great, and stayed at the correct temperature. She brought vases of roses to go with the tables, which in my opinion was a wonderful touch. There was a deliciously fresh salad ( I think I went back for thirds!), pulled bbq pork, bbq chicken (for sliders) packed with delicious flavor and moist, coleslaw, a delicious fruit salad, and treats. When the service was coming to an end Susan stayed to wrap and divide the remaining food that was left over between family members to take home so that it wouldn't go to waste. She stayed behind, herself, to help clean up and make sure everything was as it should be.

Bruce Brown Catering exceeded our expectations in catering a somewhat unusual corporate event for us.

We appreciated that they were willing to setup in a picnic area of a local hiking trail for our group of 25 executive VIPs. The quality of the food was outstanding and the presentation was elegant and professional. Ryan, the server assigned to our event, was also awesome to work with...
