Thank goodness for Brick Road for opening until 10pm! I had awesome time here for a meeting! I already had my coffee for the day, so I settled for a hot apricot peach tea. They even offered me honey, which I said no to this time. However, I love that the option is there! Plenty of seating inside and outside. Another thing that was good about this coffee shop is the cleanliness of the restroom. It was well maintained and I didn’t feel gross walking in. No one really talked about it, so I want it known.

The cutest most welcoming lil coffee shop there is. Claimed to the queerest coffee shop 💛 Filled with so many friendly faces, cheerful staff, and even the other customers were super sweet to strike up a conversation with.

They had a nice arrangement of baked goods that looked super tasty!! They also had a lot of special coffee drinks beyond their normal featured flavored lattes.

Also, let’s give a short out to the projector playing Golden Girls!! Absolutely loved this spot. Good amount of seating and has a bit of hustle and bustle, but a perfect spot to hang out, chat, study, or work from home.

The vibes, and environment are just as great as the coffee is!

Parking is easy and they also have outdoor seating which was nice as well.

Hidden away in a quiet spot, Brick Road Coffee was a surprise find while I was trying to visit a framing store nearby. The space is much larger than I expected, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating—perfect for studying, working, or just catching up with friends.

I wasn’t initially aware that this was an LGBT+ owned shop, but it’s immediately clear upon entering. They proudly call themselves “the queerest coffee shop in the valley,” and the rainbow decor blends seamlessly with the Wizard of Oz theme. Beyond just aesthetics, they also foster a strong sense of community, offering a shelf full of activities and groups for those new to town.

Now for the coffee!

Cinnamon Roll Latte – Incredibly creamy, with a flavor that reminded me of the milk left after a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch—sweet, spiced, and finished with a bold kick of coffee. Great recommendation from the friendly barista!

Nitro Cold Brew – Super rich and bold, likely steeped longer than the usual 12 hours. It has a slight acidity, which I personally enjoyed, but if you’re not a fan of strong coffee, adding cream or flavors would mellow it out.

Coffee Cake – Very different from the usual; it has a thick, almost doughy texture but is fully baked. The crumb topping is where all the flavor is, so each bite is best with a little of that on top.

Overall, I really enjoyed my visit. The staff is welcoming, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the low music makes it an ideal space to work. If you’re looking for a cozy, inclusive coffee shop with great drinks and a strong community feel, Brick Road Coffee is definitely worth a stop!

I love Brick road coffee. I live in Glendale so I don’t make it out to Tempe often, but when I do I always come here! The staff is always so friendly. Today is the last day of the Eras tour and I’m wearing my Taylor Swift shirt, and got this cute message on my cup 🥰 I also got this pumpkin muffin today which is delicious. I’ve never had bad service here. Multiple tables inside and outside. If I lived closer I would come way more often

Amazing, friendly staff who are knowledgeable and quick! The decorations are adorable and the coffee is perfect!!! They have great swag and sell their own beans. So much better than any chain.

The latte was so good that after I finished it, I immediately ordered another!!!!!!
I have not had a latte this good in YEARS💥😊.
The amount of (Stevia sweetened) syrup was perfect, the temperature of it was perfect, the FOAM was all perfect. It was delectable.

And they have a fair amount of really cute Pride merch and stickers and pins and shirts and seem to create and/or support a lot of community events, which is amazing.

Whoever trained or hired the baristas did an amazing job, they really know what they are doing and all seemed really heartfelt and cool.

This place is super cute! From the moment you walk in you are made welcome. Service was spectacular and the honey lavender latte hit the spot. Also tried the cinnamon coffee cake. I wish they were closer to my place, but definitely one of my favorites!

The beautiful aroma of beans caresses your senses as soon as you open the door. I got the blackberry lavender latte with oatmilk and it did not disappoint. Magnificently blended and made with love. Definitely adding this cafe to my list if go to spots when I’m in Tempe.
