Beautiful lake for the hot temperatures in Shasta county. The only thing I don't like about whiskeytown lake is that they charge $25 a week for a visitor and you can't even pay by the day. It used to be you could pay $5 a day which was logical but now you have to spend $25 so it's really cuts back on who gets to go and who doesn't and I don't think that's right! I think the people should be allowed to pay by the day not by the week!

There is a large parking lot and flushing toilets. Unlike the swim beach you can have dogs here. Alcohol is also allowed. There is not much of a beach/picnic area so getting out early is wise. They have some picnic tables and grills for use.

I have always love stopping by here. I was disappointed that they raise the prices and that thye don't sale one day passes anymore. The beach is always so crowded but clean. They really keep life wards aware of the area. Just the price think is what kill it for me and my family.

I advise anyone that needs a parking pass to go to the store at the beach and buy one. The qr code at the marina stinks!!

I really like the marina. All the boats were slow and careful of swimmers. I will be back for more fun in the sun.

Clean bathrooms and drinking water near the boat ramp. Plenty of parking.
