We stopped here for a little break & a bite to eat on our way to Dawson City.

Of course, we HAD to try one of the famous giant cinnamon buns.

We ordered a grilled cheese & a cinnamon bun to split between us (me & my sister). It was "good". Not "great". The sandwich was okay. It was big, yes. I found the cinnamon bun a bit dry & too many raisins.

I'm not saying it was horrible, I just didn't think it was worth the $42 it cost for the 1 items...considering what they are.

Okay. Their monster-sizes cinnamon rolls are monsterly delicious.
When we first stepped into the lodge, I was welcomed by the cozy wood-filled fireplace and the puzzled stares of the old man behind the counter. I tried cracking jokes to break the ice but nope he didn’t think I was funny.
I see a lot of the negative reviews about how grumpy and creepy the man was, so it didn’t surprise me. What really surprised me was, that is not true at all. He’s cold to me, yes, no doubt, but when my wife walked toward the counter, he sunnied up!
He kept praising how beautiful she is, and it made her blushed.

The “grumpy” old man is simply being himself, so if he doesn’t like you, well, he doesn’t like you.

Back to the food. Everything is monstrous!
As it doesn’t have a menu, we didn’t know they have burgers. A customer ordered one and the size of the package hinted it could stuff two grown ups.

The world-famous cinnamon rolls can easily stuffed 5 grownups no joke!

“Why you made them so big?” my wife asked, since he only lighted up talking to her.
“I don’t know,” the old man said, “But it tastes great isn’t it?”
He got that right.

I have been stopping here to get giant cinnamon buns and colossal grilled cheese sandwiches since the mid 1970s. The owner, Steve, is an ageless Yukon Legend, known as a diehard biker, musher and culinary wizard. There is even a airplane landing strip across the street named after Steve's giant buns and sandwiches! If you are driving through the Yukon Territory a visit here could very well be the highlight of your entire trip.

The cinnamon rolls are large enough to feed an army, but filled with raisins?

Nice stop and a break from the driving and fun as they have the biggest cinnamon buns and cookies. Mens washroom needs some cleaning and the prices - well ya a little expensive.
