The service from reservation with Autumn, server Saul to musician was phenomenal. Thank you for making the birthday celebration an unforgettable one!! Birthday boy appreciates the fun complementary chocolate ball.

The FOCACCIA AL ROSMARINO ($9) was fresh with amazing extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The BOTTEGA pizza ($24) was on the soggy side. MEZZI RIGATONI ALLO SCOGLIO ($32) if you’re looking for seafood. FETTUCINE BOLOGNESE ($24) and MILLEFOGLIE ($15) are clear winners for us.

There’s no kids menu but there’s gelato stand that every kid would love.

This is a late review from 10/26 from a dinner we had with my brother & sister-in-law. We had a party of 4 with 2 doggies and dined on their lovely outdoor patio. It was a beautiful night in Laguna Nigel, they had live smooth jazz music playing that evening and were waited on by the best server ever! It pains me that I can recall her name but she was absolutely amazing. She loved both our dogs, she did the table side bread service (her 1st time doing that by the way), she gave great recommendations regarding menu selections, and checked in on us often and was most hospitable. They were out of a certain Vegan pasta dish which the restaurant was phasing out, but other than that, EVERYTHING was off-the-charts awesome from the food, the service, the live music, the weather, the “vibe” that evening. The best thing we loved was the Passionfruit Cheesecake which appeared to be deconstructed in appearance as it’s served in a dessert sundae glass… It was the best thing we tasted all evening! Don’t let my praise for this dessert discount the other stuff ordered as there wasn’t any dish we didn’t love, BUT that one will be the reason I even remember Bottega Angelina! We’re from San Diego, and we can’t wait until the next time we dine here again just to re-order the Passionfruit Cheesecake.

Overall, this was a pretty underwhelming experience. The $16 soup was small and lacked excitement, and the $22 meatballs didn’t stand out for 2 meatballs. The linguine alle vongole was disappointing with sandy clams and a strange odor, but the staff was very understanding and quickly took it back. On a brighter note, the pizza was actually quite good, with a nice, crispy crust. Unfortunately, we ordered focaccia but realized after we left that it never made it to our table. Some highs, but mostly room for improvement.

Wow wow wow is almost all I can say. I have been going here for a few months now it has become my special treat every month. The fettuccine bolognese is out of this world, the sauce is just salty enough to make the pasta taste beyond flavorful. Their Margherita pizza is also another go to for me!! The food the serve is so fresh and delicious. Any of the bad reviews on here most have come from an off day. I tend to be very picky about my food and as much as I like a margarita pizza, I don’t like my Bolognese with cheese. One time I ordered it without cheese and it came with cheese and they gave me a whole new free pasta with no charge and I was able to keep both. Every time I walk in the manager is so kind with greeting makes you feel really welcome. I always try to tip when I’m doing to go orders and he never lets me tip. The food is great. The service is great and the ambience is even better. If you have the chance, please come by and give it a try. They really deserve the business.

We came here for an event right before sunset. Staff were friendly and attentive, the food was good, and the place was beautiful and luxurious. Guests are nicely dressed and their wine selection paired nicely with their dishes. My favorite was their pollo a milanese with bolognese rigatoni and red wine. I am not a tiramisu dessert fan, but their tiramisu is the best I’ve ever tried! Don’t let their atmosphere fool you that it’s a place for special occasions only; they also have weekday specials with wine pairing and fun events. We will definitely be back on a date. Very romantic and unique restaurant with a market inside and fire pits outside for a romantic sunset date. Plenty of parking!

We came back for our anniversary dinner tonight. The Neapolitan pizza is spot on, the crust texture and flavor is better than the famous ones I had in Naples. I ordered the Mezzi rigatoni seafood dish but I requested to sub the rigatoni for gnocchi instead which the chef did, the gnocchi was so light and soft, loved it. My hubby got the Spaghetti Chitarra which was delicious, however it was plated in an 8" plate looking like a kid plate instead of elevating it in a dinner plate. The kitchen forgot our salad so the entrees came out without the salad, we decided to cancel it. The cheesecake was exceptionally delicious. There were a few more service issues but no need to say here. However, Jesus went out his way to assist me with questions in the deli. Thankyou so much Jesus ! Also Mina was very helpful. This is not our first time, we definitely will come back.

Just left the restaurant for our Valentine dinner. The dinner was good overall. However, the Mezzi was lacking some flavor, the pork chop could use a touch of ozzo to balance with the kale and the protein. Even more if the chef could add a touch of shredded apple in the kale or apple sauce dollop on the side...

The wrap around patio with heaters and a fireplace is ideal to view the coastal sunsets. Highly recommend

The manager who greeted us and gave us a great table. He was extremely professional, welcoming, and very polite. I’ve been at this restaurant for many times, and the food is consistently great. The waitress was also wonderful and others were super kind. Many restaurants have a lot to learn from this one.
