Absolutely one of the best breakfast I’ve had in a long time! I got the crab cake and egg plate, and it was marvelous. So much food for the price, and every single bite of it was made to perfection. I’m not ever a “go to the same place twice while I’m in a new town person,” but we are definitely having breakfast here again before we leave!

Service was excellent, as well. Our server was Chelsea (I hope! I lost my receipt and I’m terrible remembering names), and she was absolutely lovely. SUPER on top of the menu items and checked on us kindly but not too often. 10/10 for her and the food.

Bonnie Blue is an amazing spot that manages to be funky and authentic while serving some of the best southern breakfast favorites you’ll ever have. I had brisket (4 pieces) with scrambled eggs, home made bacon, potatoes and a spectacular biscuit. Our table also ordered shrimp & grits, hush puppies and French toast - all delicious. Service was fast and friendly. Oh, and the coffee was first rate. If you’re driving through Winchester or are lucky enough to live nearby, this is your place!

First visit to Bonnie Blue and definitely not the last. On our way to Natural Bridge, VA, we stopped for lunch.

The Brisket ($17.99) and the Fried Chicken ($13.99) entrees each came with 2 side dishes and a choice of bread, and they were delicious.

Small seating inside but there's an outdoor seating for when the weather is warmer.

The service was friendly and prompt. The atmosphere has a definite southern vibe to it.

Bonnie Blue Southern Market and Bakery serves up some fantastic food! The smoked meats are tender and flavorful, and the burger is delicious. However, the fries were a bit too salty, and the pickled coleslaw didn’t quite stand out. The mac and cheese was also a bit on the ordinary side. The service is great—the staff are kind and attentive, checking in on us often, maybe a bit too frequently. Parking was a bit confusing to navigate at first, but there was enough space. Overall, it’s a solid spot for a satisfying meal, especially if you’re a fan of smoked meats and pastries!

Tried Bonnie Blue for the first time today. Phenomenal experience! Our server, Dalton, made some great recommendations with the 16oz Ribeye and eggs, and the eggs Benedict with brisket. Both were perfectly cooked and we savored every bite. We got some bakery items to take home and a pint of their amazing ice cream. Hands down our new favorite place in Winchester. Dalton really made the experience that much better by giving us a run down on the history and future of the restaurant, the background on the locally sourced ingredients and how everything they serve is made from scratch.

I've heard many conflicting reviews about this place over the past several years.
1st the prices - Look around, it cost me this much money to eat this much food at taco bell. I'd rather buy local
2nd the food - The quality is present with a solid effort. I don't love everything at any restaurant so it seems normal to me to like some things more than others.
Overall I think Bonnie Blue presents a solid offering to the community at a fair price for the work, effort and ingredients that go into their homemade fresh daily products.
I'll definitely come back now that I've seen first hand and developed my own opinion.

Absolutely delicious and unique foods! We had enough food to feed a crew of people! I had pulled pork with eggs and housemade bread with homemade apple butter! 🥰 We will be back! Excellent value too!

We love Bonnie Blue! The food is excellent and the portions are large. They have the best fried oysters around! Cooked perfectly and huge, and the comeback sauce is delicious. Wait staff are alway friendly too.
