I went to the Bluebird Motel hoping for a nice little self care day where I could spend the night at a nice little motel by the lake and what I got was quite the opposite.

I checked into the room for $75 which for what i got I was shocked to be paying that price.
When I opened the door I was immediately greeted with an overwhelming stench of cigarettes which I brushed off due to it being a smoker friendly room and it didn’t bother me all that much.

At first glance it seemed alright, the bed was made and it looked relatively clean, but upon further inspection I discovered holes in the curtains either from moths or cigs littering them. Again, I brushed it off understanding that sometimes you can’t afford to always replace things when they get damaged.

My issues with the establishment began the second I pulled the sheets back to get into bed. The first thing I saw was blue pen writing that said “silly girl” on it. As I pulled the sheets back further I discovered not one but two clear mystery stains and I don’t even want to guess where they came from. I had to go down to my car and grab my picnic blankets to make up the bed myself. The only blanket that seemed clean was the comforter and the blanket beneath it was gross and littered with small things stuck to it.

After I made the bed I decided to call my boyfriend to see if he could come stay with me because I was starting to feel a little anxious about being there.

After we tried going to bed around 12 and began to hear loud arguing in the room next to us that went on for two hours keeping me up.

The door also only had one lock that unlocked if you twisted it from the inside so I did the only logical thing a young female staying at a sketchy motel would do and barricaded the door.

I felt unsafe the whole time and was disgusted by the quality of the bed I was supposed to sleep in.
I will not be staying here again.

Unlawful Entry. Invasion of Privacy.The Bluebird Owners are biased. They go in rooms unlawfully after tenancy is established. The owners go through people belongings when they are not in the room. The owners throw out people belongings on the ground. Then Mrs Jacovich ( Bluebird Motel Owner) says " I don't care"! They are selfish and inconsiderate people. Truly unethical establishment.

The carpet looked like the same carpet 14 years ago. I didn't walk barefooted on it. I found hair on the sheets on the bed and the sheets looked like they were already used. The bathroom door had a large cracked across it. I would think it could replace it with the money the money they make. The towels didn't look cleaned and was stained like they were a few years old. As we sitting at the table watching TV the owner unlocked the door and opened it. My children's father said loudly "Hey hey hey!" He said, "sorry and closed the door and didn't lock it. After that my children's father and I left right away. The owner knew we were in there and must have wanted to see if we were making love. It gave me the creeps that the owner opened the door.

I haven't stayed here but looking for a place to stay for one night and when I spoke with the manager to book a room. She turn me down with being one night and told me to call back the day of. She just lost a guest and will never stay there. Bad customer service.

After the "customer service" we received, the dirty rooms and the other occupants, my family and I will NOT be returning.
When we got into our room the first time thing we noticed was the awful odor, it
smelled like old, dirty laundry. The room appeared to be half cleaned. There was a half used toilet paper roll left in the bathroom, stained and grungy towels oh and it gets worse, when I turned the TV on for my son 5 year old, it was on porn. When i called the office, there was no answer. We decided to sick it out for the night. It was loud, the doors were slamming all night long, half dressed women in and out all hours of the night as if it were brothel of some sort rather than a hotel. We checked out first thing the next morning. After searching for a vacancy at any other hotel and having no luck we decided to give the Bluebird Inn another chance. They had one room available, the woman had remembered us from the previous night. Which made me think maybe this room would actually be decent. However after paying for the night (mind you they only accept cash) the office attendant who was the supposed "manager" begins yelling at me and accuses me of stealing her pillow. we were in a rush to get out of there and find another available hotel that morning, so i let her know i would check in case it was accidentally loaded in the trunk that morning. She was still extremely rude and unprofessional and then went onto tell me i also smoked in the room which is non smoking. Mind you i do not smoke! At this point i was just done with it. I went and checked our car and as i had already knew no pillow other than ours from home. (never use hotel pillows) I returned to the office to inform her i didnt have the pillow and would like a refund and we would not be staying another night. I was offended, their rooms are horrible, and the staff even worse. she continued to tell me i stole her pillow and not just her pillow but her pillow case too. She refused to give me a refund and stated she never gave me a receipt and there was no proof i was there or gave her any money. Now i knew she was rude and incredibly unprofessional but to refuse a refund for a room i never went into, and wouldnt have paid her for in the first place had she thrown her accusations at me before accepting the money. This isnt a motel its a joke and a scam. Full of miserable and unprofessional staff.
If you're looking for an hourly rate and a cheap hooker this would be the perfect establishment for you.

Zero stars for BlueBird Inn

I was back in WI and decided to stay at my favorite motel by the lac Michigan. I stayed there for 4 weeks and I liked the price I got per week (vs. per day). I always enjoy the big backyard with the beautiful view on the lake and the friendly owners. It's one of the rare places (if not the only one) around this area (lake reception) that has WIFI. Even when I have to work in Kenosha, I feel like I am on vacation at the Bluebird. I am always relaxed there.
