We used Blue Plate Catering for our wedding and were extremely pleased with the entire experience! They were already very familiar with our venue, The Tinsmith, the menu sounded delicious, and the prices were more than reasonable so we were excited to work with them. We needed appetizers, plated dinner service, water/coffee/tea, linens, napkins, and cutlery. David and his team were so helpful and went above and beyond to make our day perfect. They proposed a menu sensitive to dietary restrictions (so many gluten-free options!), offered a great color selection of linens and napkins to match our color palette, scheduled a tasting, coordinated delivery of our desserts from a local bakery, and let us pick up our linens the day before so setting up decor wouldn’t be delayed. On our wedding day, Jon, and Cecilia, our event and server leads, ensured that food preparation, timing, and service were outstanding and seamless. We got so many compliments about all of the food from our guests and their bacon wrapped chorizo dates are an absolute must. Highly recommend Blue Plate to cater any event!

Blue Plate was amazing to work with as our wedding caterer! The food was absolutely delicious (bone-in chicken on a buffet—yes, please! And we keep hearing from guests about those garlic mashed potatoes!). They were incredibly accommodating, allowing me to customize the cocktail hour popcorn bar setup to my preferences. Gary, our relationship manager, took care of everything leading up to the day, and day-of, Emily and the team were professional and provided exceptional service, making everything seamless. Highly recommend!

We loved our whole experience with Blue Plate Catering! We met David at an Open House event that our venue was hosting, and from the first bite of food, we knew they were going to be a good fit for us. David’s communication was amazing, and we never had to worry about what next steps were, and he was very transparent about pricing. The tasting they set up for us was lovely, and we got to try so many options before deciding that we wanted to serve. I went in skeptical to trying the chicken, as chicken just never seems to be good at a wedding. After tasting their chicken-I was proved wrong. It was absolutely fantastic and they nailed it on day of as well. Chef Brent took great care in all of the food that he provided for our special day, and Amanda, our event lead, along with her team, just took fantastic care of us all.
The salad was fresh, chicken was tender, pork was flavorful, and our friends with dietary restrictions raved about the stuffed peppers. We had opted to do cookies rather than cake, and Blue Plate made sure we had milk, coffee and tea for our dessert bar as well. They truly seemed to care about our overall day being a success and they played such a big role in our day. We recommend them to anyone!

I cannot recommend Blue Plate Catering enough. It was an all around great experience. The food tasted as good on our wedding day as it did at our food tasting. The staff was nearly invisible but so efficient. The appetizers, buffet, and late nick snack was set up effortlessly. No one went hungry, and everyone raved about the food. You get so much for your money!! We also were able to bring our leftovers home which we enjoyed the next day. Additionally, they made my day stress free as they set up the dishes on the table and even folded the napkins that I had purchased and put them at the places.

Blue Plate Catering was the caterer for my husband and my March 2025 wedding. David and his entire team were incredibly professional, kind, and overall amazing to work with. We received so many compliments on our food including several "best wedding food ever" comments. We had appetizers tray passed during the cocktail hour and a plated dinner. Everything ran very smoothly and the guests didn't leave hungry. Additionally, they provided all of the linens, glassware, and silverware for us at a reasonable cost. I highly recommend using Blue Plate Catering for your wedding!

Blue plate catering handled the appetizers, dinner, and late night snack for my wedding. They did a wonderful job. Their staff was organized and efficient, and guests loved the food, with many stating it was the best wedding food they had ever had. We felt like we had to do very little to make everything run smoothly and we attribute that to the organizational skills of David and his team. We got a plated dinner and since we were running around all cocktail hour, they had set aside appetizers for us, which was a nice touch.

Just got married last Friday 10/25/2024 and used Blue Plate for our wedding caterer! What an amazing experience it was to work with them! They're accommodating for any dietary restrictions. They can make any meal happen! The meal at our wedding was high in our priority list, and our guest ranted and raved about how it was the best meal they have had at a wedding in years! We had Filet Mignon, miso glazed salmon, vegetarian stuffed peppers, potatoes, wild rice, carrots, green beans buffet style! Also did our desserts with them which was 3 different types of pies and cheesecakes! We wanted our guests to have plenty of options! Everything from the first inquiry, tasting, communication, checking in throughout the months, making accommodations and changes when needed, and making sure we needed anything before heading out, packing up the leftovers was amazing! We will be recommending Blue Plate to anyone in the future! You will not be disappointed!

We booked Blue Plate for our wedding on 1/25/25 and the service was amazing! Gary helped us throughout the booking process and communication was incredible. The day of the wedding, Blue Plate arrived on time to the venue and had everything set up quickly. The passed appetizers were great and the pasta buffet we had for dinner was a hit! The onsite staff was very attentive and friendly to everyone. We had food leftover after dinner, and the staff packaged it up for us to take home afterwards! I highly recommend booking Blue Plate for your wedding!
