We luckily stumbled upon this great food truck this afternoon while searching for a spot to have lunch in downtown Puyallup!

I had the Collard Green Gumbo and my wife had the Philly Cheese Steak. Both were excellent and full of flavor!

You can definitely taste the time, love and soul that went in to the unique flavors in each dish!

Good vibes and great customer service too!

Talk about slap yo mama deliciousness!! 💯🤤 Saw the food truck at the Ruston Market today and saw it was soul food. I HAD to check it out. Ordered gumbo collard greens, a jerk chicken bowl and lavender lemonade (it even had glitter in it!) 😋

We got to the car, opened the food to try a nibble and agreed, we wanted more for tomorrow! 🔥We went back and saw Mrs. Bleu and ordered ANOTHER Gumbo Collard Green and loaded tots topped with Philly meat. 🤩

If you’re looking for food that’s packed with amazing flavor and made with love, Bleu Buttahfly is the place to go! Their home-cooked meals are absolutely incredible—every bite feels like it’s made from the heart. Bleu Buttahfly has quickly become one of my top food trucks in the area. Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious, soulful food!

Collard greens gumbo is SOO good! I’m from Houston, TX so it was a like having a little piece of home. We also got the birria loaded tots. Delicious!

Long story short about this food truck, they had just opened up really close by to where my boyfriend and I were living in Puyallup but we were also about to move to Tacoma. I have been following Dawn and her food truck journey since the beginning and I was so sad that I couldn't try some of their amazing food, especially being walking distance. However, I found out recently that her truck comes to northeast Tacoma every so often and I dragged my boyfriend to come along with.

As we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the cashier and she was patient with us as we were trying to see what we all wanted cause everything sounded so good. My boyfriend got the Bleu Butterfly's Bacon Bleu Burger with a side of tots while I got the jerk chicken bowl and we got a signature lavender lemonade and two piece chicken tender with tots. We were given a buzzer to notify us when the food was done but it seemed like there was some minor issue of some buzzers not working as there were a few customers waiting. We stayed close by the truck just in case, and plus it was a lot to carry so we wanted to both be there. After several minutes, Dawn politely calls out to us and tells that they didn't have patties to do the burger and asked if we wanted something else instead. My boyfriend went with the loaded Philly tots. It was unfortunate though as he paid an extra $2 for the tots for the burger but the loaded tots were the same price as the burger.

Once we received the food, we were very happy with our food as each bite was packed with flavor. I don't get to have jerk chicken often but this had to be the most tender and perfectly seasoned that I had the pleasure of trying. My boyfriend was very happy with his loaded tots! We loved the chicken tender, tots, and the sauce that came with it as it was the perfect accompaniment. The lavender lemonade had a gorgeous presentation with flowers on the top of the whipped cream, a lovely blue color, and the drink itself was refreshing and had the perfect amount of tart. With every bite, my boyfriend and I would keep exclaiming yum or just repeat how good everything was. Our fur babies even loved the chicken meat and tots too! We are super looking forward to trying more of their menu items as I was looking forward to the soul rolls. We spoke with Dawn as we were headed to our car and she asks how we enjoyed it. She told me that she took soul rolls off the menu for the time being as it is just her cooking, prepping, and so much more. I completely understand that she is focused on ensuring on quality and customer satisfaction than overworking herself into making something not to her standard. Probably one of my favorite food trucks in Washington and we have a lot of them, but Dawn and Bleu Buttahfly are strong contenders!

I had my first encounter with the Bleu Buttahfly at the Point Ruston Farmers Market yesterday. Great food to warm the body and soul on a chilly January day. I tried the Jerk Chicken Gyro w/ tots and A Lavender Lemonade. Both were amazing and full of great flavor. Looking forward to trying more of their menu soon!

The owners were both very friendly and welcoming. Thank you for an enjoyable experience.
