We had a wonderful experience with a duckie float trip with Blackwater last weekend. All of the guides and staff were extremely kind and professional, and they put us at ease on the river. Lunch was delicious and included a great variety of different foods. If we are ever down in the West Virginia area we would hands down use BOA again!

We chose to spend an afternoon here as a large group while visiting the area for a family reunion. A couple of us were late and they were extremely patient and kind. They have everything you need if you come even slightly unprepared. We all had such an amazing time and I'm happy this was recommended to us for our afternoon. Thanks to everyone for being so accommodating and ensuring we had such an awesome time. Highly recommend!

My family and I had the best time! Some of us were pretty nervous as most of us had never participated in white water rafting before. It was class 2 and 3 rapids which was so fun and perfect for beginners. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Someone on the staff took pictures while we were rafting which was awesome since we didn't take phones. When we were finished we were given water and granola bars for the ride back. They also have a facility with bathrooms, showers, and changing rooms so we didn't have to drive all the way home soaking wet. It was awesome. We all said we would do it again in a heartbeat!

Very friendly staff helping you get ready and take you to the launch spot. We did the 8 mile run on kayaks. Super beautiful and protected stretch of the Cheat River. Just enough rapid excitement and fine for for any novice paddlers. You feel fully "away from it all" out there, and you really are!! The entire area is fantastic. Changing rooms and shower when you get back which is a nice touch if you have a drive ahead of you.

Everyone was super friendly. The lazy river was perfect. They have a hot shower to clean up afterwards. If I am every in that part of WV I would do it again. I also recommend the cooler tube which is a rectangular tube with a bottom. My 9 friends had a blast. They drop you off at a spot and you float back to BOA

"The staff at Blackwater Outdoor Adventures is incredibly friendly and welcoming. They even have water shoes available for purchase in case you need them. After being transported up the river about a mile, we had a leisurely float back that took us about 2 and a half hours. The views along the river are absolutely stunning. It was such an unforgettable experience, and I had the most wonderful time. This trip will definitely be etched in my memory."
