The Inn is beautiful, comfortable and on the water. You could spend mornings watching cruise ships coming close enough to wave to the passengers. Jim and Nicole are locals that enjoy sharing their stories. It was like being with family, in a good way! My room had everything I needed. It was a perfect 3 days.

Jim and Nicole were absolutely the best host. The property was beautiful and well maintained. We stayed in the Ravens Haven and it was clean and spacious. The bed was large and comfortable. Nicole was amazing with accommodating us when another local lodge failed to fulfill our reservation.

This was one of the most beautiful places to stay! It really made our Ketchikan visit extraordinary!! The owners were so welcoming and friendly, and it really made us want to go back. Thank you so much for everything that you included in our stay. The rooms were beautiful. The food was great and the views were fabulous!! We stayed a week here for our first time in Ketchikan, and wouldn't stay anywhere else. From the year prior when I first talked with Nicole I knew we were at the right place! All the trips Nicole booked for us are amazing! We were so happy with every second of our stay here from landing at the airport with a message to a hate to leave checkout. The whole property and especially the Bunkhouse are perfect for a fun home away. We spent every morning and evening enjoying the views from around the property. The amenities were perfect from the beds to the kitchen to the outdoor areas. Nicole and Jim were so helpful before during, and after our stay, and we truly thank you for everything! All the Charters, trips, restaurant, parking, and other tips were so helpful and enjoyed! We hope to be back and will definitely stay here, and recommend to friends and family.

We had an excellent visit! Located in a great spot and easy to get into town. The owners Jim and Nicole were fantastic. Welcoming and full of suggestions on what to see. They were available and happy to assist with anything. Rooms were big and plenty of space. We will absolutely be back!

Nicole and Jim treat you as family and create an environment where you feel at home. Very knowledgeable about their community and make some great recommendations of places to go, eat, shop and visit. Jim had a continental hype breakfast laid out each morning where you come and serve yourself at your pace. Beds were comfortable, wonderful scenery, on the water and lots of outside space to relax in. We will stay again when in Ketchikan.

My husband and I don't go many places because we're home bodies but I must say Jim and Nicole made us feel like we were at home! Our stay at The Black Bear Inn was truly amazing right down to the smallest detail! Nicole told us prior to visiting all about the local native tours, what native shops to visit and Jim told us all about the local history of Ketchikan. We stayed in the Bears Den which had amazing local artwork throughout and we were encouraged to use the facility to our leisure for breakfast and was free to use the main kitchen! It truly was a home away from home and beyond five stars! Jim & Nicole Church you go above and beyond patrons expectations! Alaska itself was so much more than we expected and we thank all the people who gave of their time to make our time there spectacular! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
