Used to love the Black Bear in Avondale, AZ. So we decided to try this one. Did not disappoint! Love the food and the atmosphere! One of the best places to get prompt service with delightful staff, and excellent food like the Eggs Benedict.

Was little chilly so bring a sweatshirt.

I have been to several BBD’s and this was pretty disappointing. It will be a memorable experience, but not for any good reason. It was very slow on a Monday evening and it took probably 10 minutes to be asked what we wanted to drink. Some silverware had to brought out after the food was. The grilled cheese- the cheese wasn’t melted at all. The blackberry stuffed French toast was as if the bread had sat out for a while. The service, below average. Maybe it was a “one-off” but I wouldn’t come back to find out.

First time trying. Ordered after getting off work this morning.....Food was ready by the time I made it to the restaurant. I got the Shasta scramble and Wednesday special (mine was pancakes, sausage links and scrambled eggs). Everything I ate was delicious! Matter of fact, the pancakes were so so tasty that I literally did not need syrup to eat them. Really enjoyed the scramble. Going back just for it! The portion sizes are so good. Definitely gonna have to eat this in more than one sitting. Prices are reasonable

The atmosphere and service were both on point. I was on a volunteer mission trip and staying at the motel next door. It was the easiest place to get to. I was worried I’d get sick of going there but I didn’t! My main complaint is that they have very limited options for people with dietary restrictions. Their menus don’t always clearly state what has gluten. Almost every dish has dairy in it. I wish this chain was more inclusive with their menu offerings.

We waited to be seated (my wife and I) and a party of ten crowded in behind us. The girl seated them first and when we balked she said they were there first. We were not going to wait for their ten plates of food to be made before us, so we left. Called customer service and was completely blown off and they never did a follow up. Apparently don't want our business.

The prices are incredibly affordable. You get so much delicious food for your money, making it an excellent value proposition. The service at Black Bear Diner was exceptional. The staff was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. The cozy and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant added to the overall enjoyment of the meal.

My over easy was perfectly cooked but tasted like fish. The scrambled was also off flavor. Sausages- meh. Decent gravy. Great biscuits but they couldn’t make up for the off flavors of the eggs.
