Pretty good. Very few places have grits so that was a plus, just need them more whipped up to get rid of the lumps but was mostly done right. I requested for my bacon to be crispy well done if possible but it came out chewy, I couldn't eat my sandwich and had to toss it.

This was my first time eating here and the reviews don’t lie. The hostess and our waitress were great. Everything was clean . We got the pot roast and an omelette. Both were really good and The portions were ridiculously big. Definitely a couple of meals on each plate. I’d highly recommend the iced coffee, I’m a daily Starbucks girly and this iced coffee was honestly way better, Super smooth and not bitter at all. We got the apple cobbler with ice cream for dessert and it did not disappoint. The prices were more than fair for the portion sizes and quality. I will definitely go out of my way to eat at black bear diner in the future.

Great food and great service. The hot sausage patties were a little hotter than expected, but still good. The hashbrowns are fantastic. Overall this is a great spot for breakfast. I will be back.

Had a wonderful meal. My co-driver and I both had fried fish and chips. Ordered onion rings they were a little greasy but tasted yummy. Waitress was wonderful, attentive, with a great personality. Had the apple cobbler was more like an apple pie in a bowl. Desserts are not their strong suit 😆

The review I’m going to write is mixed. I have visited this location a few times and this was my best visit. The service was excellent. Everyone was welcoming and hustling.

Now to the mixed part. My food was hot which was great but my “over-medium”eggs, toast and sausage were overcooked. I have to say though, the chicken fried steak was cooked to perfection. It was juicy, crunchy, salty and meaty (no gristle). That steak was so good I really didn’t care about the rest being overcooked.

I will definitely be back for that chicken fried steak.

****Very Disappointing ****
The tri tip was cold and chewy, the chicken strips were hard. My girlfriend got a salad that had a cucumber with a bite out of it.
They also recognize active military only unlike all the other BBD who honor active and veteran soldiers.

Well I Def had a positive experience. A little expensive but I feel I got my money's worth tho. Very delicious, service was fast and exactly how I requested. Can't complain at all. I chose the double cheese with the green Beans as a side, and the brownie with ice cream for dessert.
Friendly atmosphere from staff and again, tasty and accurate. Thanks yall, keep up the good work, im very appreciative. God bless.

Good service and flavorful good is what we can always count on at Black Bear Diner. We travel a lot and often search out Black Bear Diners. Nick did a great job. Was attentive but not overbearing. My soup was a little on the cool side. Nick got it reheated for me in a fashion that did not delay our dinner. Really appreciated his extra effort because it was a busy night..
