We were in town and this restaurant had previously been recommended. The lady taking our order was very nice and helpful, and our food came out extremely quickly. For how quick it was it may have been the best ribs i have ever had. The Mac and Cheese was easily top 5 ever as well, which was a big surprise. This place made we wish I had one of these at home, in fact, i have been having dreams about the ribs.... and I have begun regretting not ordering an extra order to go of food. As i write this review i want to eat some.

Also, there was a family in there and they were having a lot of fun with the games, an old school electronic fortune teller mining looking guy, and the jail cells around a couple tables.

This was recommended by my boyfriend's mom, and wow it lives up to the hype 😀 Very happy with the service, I believe our server was Michelle. Love how the pork ribs melt off the bone, and the Mac n cheese that we ordered together. Will definitely come back another time to soak up the wonderfully eclectic atmosphere, as we were in a hurry for another event. By the way, Michelle said that they close at 9PM, not 8, and they've been meaning to update their hours especially on Google - just submitted my own edit to help them out 👍🏻

this plas is really nice they have some claw machines for the kids that actually let you win the brisket was delicious and they slushi mixed drinks are also very scrumptious would go again

Used to be my favorite place to eat in Paso Robles. Discovered it in 2007, I have recommended it to family and friends for years. But not after my 1/3/2025 visit. No service, its become the same thing as fast food restaurant. You order at the counter, get your own drinks, flatware, condiments, and retrieve your food at the counter, find your own take out boxes, then bus your own table as requested on the napkin dispenser. They have the audacity to want a tip, for what?, taking your money. Food has declined, I noticed that in 2022, but I thought it was a bad day, nope! I live 5.5 hours away and visit the area every few years, sad to know I will have to find another BBQ restaurant. The thing I liked best was the Pulled Pork Nachos, no longer on the menu. The brisket wasn't fresh and lacked flavor. The beans were very spicy this visit, $47.00 for a Brisket sandwich, side of pork and a basket of fries, no drinks, and no table service of any kind, and it was lunch time. 😢 Next thing you know, they'll have you ordering at a Kiosk, like every other Fast Food Restaurant.

Stopped off for a quick bite. On my way back to Southern California. Parking is easy facilities are clean and the menu is good. I got the tri-tip sandwich with french fries and enjoyed it. Not overly greasy or overly fatty just a good cut a tri-tip on a nice roll with some perfectly fried french fries not too salty fair price
for California.

First time trying Big Bubba's Bad BBQ. The cashier wasn't very helpful and didn't know the menu. We ordered brisket, pork ribs, and onion rings. The brisket was dry. Pork ribs were tasty and tender. We thought the onion rings were terrible and very hard to eat and overpriced. I don't think we will return soon.

The decor was unique! There was a water feature you had to cross, and a couple of the tables were inside jail cells! The place wasn't very busy, so we were a bit surprised that the lady working at the counter took so long to wait on us. We opted to share a meal that consisted of 4 ribs, brisket, fries, and a side salad. The ribs were burnt and definitely tasted that way. There is signage at the table telling you to bus your own table, yet there's a jar for tips at the cash register. Perhaps we would have had the service been exceptional and the food better!

I was driving North on Hwy 101 and was looking for a place to eat. So I Google and Bubba's shows up.
WHAT A FIND!! I love good BBQ! And always looking for a good Tri-Tip Sandwich. The meat was Medium Rare, Tender and flavorful. Layered on a toasted bun.
My wife had the Chicken Sandwich with a nice portion Chicken Breast, juicy, tender with just right amount of Buffalo Sauce as to not over power the chicken.
So if your passing through Paso Robles you have to stop and eat.
