I had a wonderful stay at the Beverly Terrace Hotel! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Johnathan at the front desk went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect—his friendly attitude and helpful tips made me feel right at home. The hotel itself is charming, with a beautiful courtyard that provides a peaceful escape from the city hustle. I also had a chance to dine at Café Amici, and the food was fantastic—perfect for a relaxed meal in a cozy setting. I highly recommend this place!

The room was incredibly dated. Old curtains. Felt like limited privacy being on the first floor. Walls looked like the headboard had fallen off and was not fixed. One lamp switch did not work. Super thin walls. Everything echoed from the restaurant/courtyard. Bed was comfortable, but amenities were limited. Location is decent.

I recently stayed at the Sonder Beverly Terrace over the weekend, and unfortunately, my experience was marred by an unpleasant encounter with the front desk agent, Cindy. I chose this location primarily for its proximity to West Hollywood, making it an ideal spot for celebrating a friend's last night in town.

However, the night took a turn when a few friends joined us in our room after the festivities to sober up. It quickly became clear that Cindy took issue with our guests, even questioning whether we knew everyone present. This felt not only intrusive but also quite offensive, especially since our group consisted of just five people, with two of us being registered guests.

As the night progressed, the situation escalated. Cindy knocked on our door, citing a noise complaint and insisting that everyone needed to leave. This was particularly baffling, as we had two individuals winding down on the pull-out couch, one in the shower, and two watching television at a reasonable volume. It felt like we were being treated as if we were hosting a wild party, when in reality, we were just enjoying each other’s company in a very low-key manner. The threat of her accessing our room if the others didn’t leave was alarming and left me in an uncomfortable position: should I send my friends off to drive home while they were still intoxicated?

Overall, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I’ve spent time reflecting on whether we were being unreasonable or excessively noisy, and I truly don’t believe we were. If the sound of normal activities like walking, showering, and watching TV is considered disruptive, then this hotel may need to reevaluate its noise policies and soundproofing.

Given this encounter, I would hesitate to stay at Sonder Beverly Terrace again. The lack of understanding and hospitality from the front desk staff overshadowed what could have been a lovely weekend getaway. I hope management can address these issues to ensure a more welcoming environment for future guests.

Very unprofessional place! I had a reservation to stay here, and was even looking forward to it. However, when the tragic wildfires broke out in LA, they refused to cancel my reservation worth nearly $900 for 4 nights. Every single time I, and my travel agent, tried contacting them, they kept forwarding our calls to Sonder’s call center, their hotel management company. It is impossible to directly reach the hotel property’s lobby or Guest Services. They have zero empathy, and even had the audacity to lecture me about how if they cancel my reservation, they’d be “losing revenue.” ||I spoke to three different agents at different times named Sherwel Andre, Wilfried, and Joseph. I suggest they go through basic training again. I asked to speak to their supervisor, but they pushed back and vehemently refused.I learned their supervisor is someone named Dawn R. But they are refusing to talk to guests. I was told to submit a “supervisor callback request,” so I did. And guess what? It’s been 2 weeks and got no call back. It is disappointing to see a hotel refuse cancellation, even in the event of natural disasters. Just think, if they had cancelled my reservation, that room could’ve opened up for someone else who may have needed it, perhaps for a family coming to LA to check-in on their loved ones. In a world where I was able to cancel my flights, attraction tickets, and other planned excursions, this act by the hotel displays their true greed. It really goes to show Sonder and Beverly Terrace’s rotten core values. Do not even think about booking here.

We loved it! Room was small, but well appointed clean and comfortable. Fantastic location. Short walk to many great restaurants and the Troubadour where we were seeing a concert. We'll definitely be back!

Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We really liked the location and the style worked fine for us. We only stayed for a couple of nights so didn't need cleaning anyway and having the essentials cabinet really helped. We had a great stay and I would definitely stay here again if we ever visit LA again.

Stayed here for one night having prepaid for my trip. As expected they asked for a card for a deposit on arrival. They charged me the deposit and have since refused to repay despite the evidence and refused to look into it. Very disappointed with this and my credit card company are now also attempting to recover the funds 3 months later and also finding the staff less than helpful in attempting to resolve.

Outside of that, on arrival they couldn't check us in so asked us to go to the bar and wait. They then said that we were too early to check in but they would let us have one of our booked rooms before the usual check in time. When i came back for my one I found it still being cleaned.

Rooms are small (only space to open my case was across the front door!) and the shower only points at one angle, which in my case was straight into my face.

My friend who also stayed was woken early by works happening outside of his window and was not impressed either. His shower didn't seem to have much pressure in the water.

Will not stay at this hotel or any associated with this brand again after this experience.

Nice location. Rooms not as nice as pictures, also very low on staff and not much is possible. Lots of extra hidden cost which was not that visible when booked. You have to pay $40 every time you want your room cleaned, $30 per night for parking the car etc. etc. have that in mind before booking this hotel.

Also, a bid noisy during evenings due to the restaurant/bar attached to the “hotel”
