Had a lovely time on Lake Mendota with Betty Lou cruises. The prime rib is pretty good and there was a decent drink selection. The tour is a great couple of hours to relax on the water.

If you want to see Madison, WI from a different perspective, try by water with the help of Betty Lou Cruises. With the use of a motor yacht, you view the shorelines of Lake Monona and Mendota and learn Madison’s history along the waters gentle waves.
During a company trip, we took sail in September, just as the trees were turning colors and the skyline was like a painting. Some of us sat inside the cabin while others took advantage of the upper deck.
The appetizers served were varied and delicious. The crew were professional, not stuffy or unapproachable. The captain pointed out different sites or provided snippets of history along the way. It was the best way to relax and throw our cares to the wind even if it were for a couple of hours.

We go every year for our anniversary and always have had a great time! The crew is amazing! I read how one lady was charged a $50 hold for every drunk order but I had about 3 wines and only had one $50 hold which was a surprise to me but they took it off by the time we got home and only was charged my drink total. I hope she gives it another try! So far we have went on the Italian, fiesta, historical, all-american and are going on the champagne brunch next month!

You definitely need to get there early to get a seat on the boat if you have a larger party. The service was fantastic, but the food was cold. The atmosphere was nice, but you were basically sitting on plastic chairs and everyone trying to eat off a small table.

UPDATE: After posting on Google reviews, they finally got back to me and offered a voucher for a 1 person cruise.

Never took the time to respond to my feedback. Which means they probably don’t care. I was looking forward to giving it another shot but I will not be back. Others have had great experiences and that’s good but ours was not. I wish they responded but I won’t support a business that brushes off honest constructive feedback.

The staff are incredibly nice and accommodating. I would like to specially thank Lauren for her kindness and willingness to go above and beyond. Shout out to the captain for letting the passengers a chance to drive the boat for a photo, one of the best experiences I’ve had in Madison!
