This hotel has gotten considerably worse over the years. My family and I have stayed there many times. However, the customer service was poor this time, and things were out of order or broken. The parking lot was icy and I did not see any sand or salt. I saw a fresh clean salt wheelbarrow and no bags of salt or sand nearby. We nearly fell several times. It felt unsafe. I do understand it is a cold area and we all have to be careful. The pool area was out of service. Side doors that should be opened with a key card were broken. The website shows it is pet-friendly, and yet we were charged an unauthorized pet fee. It was a disappointing experience.

The Hotel has replied below to my review. I requested a manager to call my updated phone number, however, they have not called my updated phone number. They were able to email me, which makes me wonder why they didn't email previously when they didn't get through by phone to explain the pool area was not working. I hope someone takes the time to call me. I did reply to the email that was sent to me and I have not received a reply to that either.

When I booked online, I did not see anywhere to check that I had a "pet," only that the hotel was pet-friendly. I did not realize I wasn't "paying" for her in my hotel cost. How would I know this? I was anticipating a pet fee as described online. I did not know I wasn't already charged that fee in my room rate. I have never filled out forms for my pet in the past. My pet came in with us and no one commented about her. It would have been nice to have an in-person discussion about the situation. I am still waiting for a phone call.

We booked our rooms over a month in advance. We had family from Norther WI to Oklahoma all coming here. We had loved this hotel. We had met here for family events in the past. This time, was very different, needless to say, NEVER BOOK a NONREFUNDABLE ROOM! Not sure if it's under new owners/management. We learned our lesson. The pool/hot tub, bar, conference room were all out of order. One morning I didn't have hot water. 2 out of the 3 gals we worked with were great. We had one gal that was so rude. The other 2 gals were trying to help us be able to have our whole family there together, but they weren't allowed to let us be in the breakfast area, which I understand policies. The breakfast, gym and the rooms were fantastic! We were bummed about the pool/hot tub, but understand that things happen. My breaking point was when we couldn't even have an area big enough for us to play games/cards. The breakfast area closes at 9:30am. All we wanted was for our family that traveled many hours to be together. We did have to go to the other hotel, where the rest of our families booked so that we could have our family Christmas.

Terrible customer service and the room was not clean. My daughter moved the couch cushion and there was so much dirt and debris that you'd expect to not find there.
Much more went into the rating but I would not support this company in any way.
I also have photos of the dirt under the sofa cushions as well as arriving to the tub having 4 inches of water in it, Google will not allow the photos to be uploaded. I am not writing this retaliatory and I do keep evidence. Your staff could use some retraining as well as your hotels policies. There isn't a surprise that your hotel had maybe 6 cars in the parking lot this weekend and the others in town were mostly full.

Positive: It seemed pretty quiet, the vast tv channel selction was a plus. Very good breakfast! Negative: The pool was down and we did not know this, they said they called but didn't have correct number? The heater/air conditioner unit was not working correctly, the filter was filthy. The toilet was loose from the wall a bit (we did notify staff)

I used points for the first night of stay. We were in 214. After returning back to our room around 730pm, from the noise above us, it sounded like a party going up in 314. Lots of running around, constant foot noise from the floor and multiple voices. We tried to watch tv and read, but the noise level made any activity difficult. Around 10pm, we went to bed, but the same noises continued making it impossible to rest/sleep even with using a phone app for noise. I went down to the front desk and made a complaint of the noise coming from the party above. The friendly night receptionist went upstairs and came down about 1 minute later stating he had told them to keep the noise down and stated the residents were receptive. ||I went back upstairs to our room and tried to sleep, but the noise levels stayed the same and the number and volume of voices increased. This continued until about midnight when I finally gave up and went out to sleep in our car. It was pretty cold, but I managed to stay in the car until 145am. I assumed the party would be over and returned to our room but immediately heard the same noise levels as before. I banged on the ceiling, but this had no effect. I tried to fall asleep, but the constant movement of people walking, running, moving items above us made it impossible. At 3am, I went back downstairs and told the clerk that I would be calling the police if he didn't take care of the matter. He said he would call them and tell them to quiet down. I went back upstairs and at first, I could heard feet shuffling like the party was ending. Voices were loud, but I thought in a few minutes (it was after 3am), people would leave that room, and I could go to sleep. I stayed by the door, with my clothing on in case it didn't. About 5 minutes later, I heard the elevator open (it was near our room), and a male and a female (ages about 17-20 estimated) started to walk my room door while pointing directly at the door, I had my flashlight on and when I looked out the peephole, they must have seen the movement of the flashlight and immediately ran back toward the elevator. ||||A few minutes later, I heard the room door next to us (to the right of our door while facing our door) slam shut and then loud voices and slamming of doors and hitting of walls. I again laid down on the bed thinking they might be going to sleep, but that room noises continued in addition to more movement noises coming from upstairs. I could hear voices above us as well, although not as loud as before. Around 4am, my wife went downstairs to complain, and she was told not to call the police. About 15 minutes, without any changes in the noise levels, I gave up and went to sleep in the car. I returned to the room around 8am and the rooms were quiet. ||I requested to talk with the general manager Lynda and was told she wasn't in. I gave the clerk my name and number and requested the GM call me. This was on Sunday, December 8th. When we checked out on Monday, December 9th, I was told again the GM was not in and I again requested the GM call me. By Thursday, I had not received any communication from the GM, so I called the hotel and was told that the GM was not in and that she made her own hours. I was also told there was no way to directly contact her with any form of communication. This is insane where the GM of a hotel cannot be contacted by customers. As of Saturday, December 14th, I have not received a call from the GM who apparently has no accountability of her employment. I can see why this hotel allows parties and noise complaints to fester while ignoring their other customers. I am not young and have travelled extensively around the world, staying at many types of hotels and lodging types. The first night at the hotel was by far, the worst night I've ever spent at a hotel and I can't even get the courtesy of a call from the hotel manager.

The service was amazing, friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were very clean, and bedding smelled so fresh, beds were super comfy. And the added bonus was the coffee machine in the lobby 24/7! Hot breakfast both Saturday and Sunday morning as well.

We stayed at this hotel. Was great except for the front desk agent who hit on my hubby. Casse was asking all sorts for questions. Flirting. Not professional. But the rooms were great and hotel very clean and upkept. My hubby and I share our account and was very taken back. We even complained to corporate but sinceots privately owned the corporation didn't do much.
