I booked a pet-friendly room on the Best Western website. Logged in as we have an account. No where on the website and during the booking process did it state anything about a weight limit for a dog, even whilst booking the pet-friendly room!!||We arrived at the hotel this afternoon and I went inside to check in. I was asked if we were traveling with a pet and I said yes, a dog. The employee asked what our dog’s weight is and I told her 60 pounds. She advised me the weight limit for pets is 30 pounds. I told her that’s fine, our dog can sleep in our truck, which she’s done before. She advised that was not possible, now that they know we have a dog over 30 pounds, they could not risk us “sneaking the dog in because they have cameras and other people have done it in the past.” So apparently, we’re guilty upfront. I’m a 60 year old woman and my husband is retired law enforcement. We don’t “sneak” dogs into hotels and try to pull a fast one. |She canceled our reservation and we went to a Hilton which I should have booked in the first place. |Sorry Best Western, but you lost any future business from us. You can have your Rewards Member Points, because we won’t be needing them anymore.

Nice clean room. Staff is exceptional. Plenty of parking. Dog friendly. Free breakfast isn’t the greatest but it is free! Shower head is what you’d find in a luxury hotel with a big diameter and full spray. The staff made sure we had plenty of towels checked on us via text

Family stayed at the same time of a boys 10-12 year old ball team. The whole team was at the very small pool. Jumping and diving into pool. Which is not allowed. I had 2 small children with me. I complained to staff that the boys were jumping too close to my small kids (as all the parents were watching and did nothing) and I was struggling to keep one calm as he did not like water splashing in his face. The staff member went out to pool told the boys not to jump. As she walked away I heard her say to the team “Have fun”. Within 10 minutes the team was back jumping, horse playing and diving. No consideration to others. Parents still did nothing to help me. My children deserved to enjoy the pool as much as the next person. Will not be staying there ever again. Thanks for nothing BW.

The bathroom was filthy and the shower had hair still in the drain. We had to call housekeeping to have it re-cleaned. The shower curtain was too short so every time we took a shower, several towels had to be placed down on the floor to get up excess water, and to not cause a fall risk. There was only one light working in the bathroom and when I called the front desk to see if maintenance could come and replace the light bulb, I was informed that maintenance was off until Monday.

Excellent hotel. Nice layout of the room. Staff was very courteous and helpful. The morning breakfast was excellent and the menu slightly changes daily. The hotel is centrally located and slightly hidden from the main street. The rooms are quiet. I highly recommend.

My entire family had a great night's sleep here. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious. The staff were universally friendly, welcoming, and professional. Even the continental breakfast was something extra. An EXCEPTIONAL value. 5 stars.

Quietest room I ever stayed in. Great, friendly staff. Breakfast is much more than you would expect. Restaurant quality. Highly recommend for pet owners. Great pet area. Clean bathroom and everything worked. David’s Catfish restaurant is in the parking lot.

I drove 6 hours out of an evacuation zone for the hurricane from Florida. I was unable to find anything closer than that. Upon arriving I was told that me and my service dogs were not aloud to stay (I have 3 total dogs two frenchies and a German Shepard. )my Shepard and one frenchie are registered service dogs. The staff has now made me rent an additional room. I'm positive that's illegal. You would think a hotel would have their staff educated on the national laws according to service dogs as a disabled person I find that unacceptable. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I am considering legal action against this establishment. Just absolutely ridiculous..
