Stay at your own risk. I have two warnings:||1. take photos when you leave and if ANYTHING happens to the surrounding area, like a mushroom growing on the deck! She will write an inaccurate review/lies about you on airbnb. Take photos timestamped for when you leave proving that you did not break anything, host will blame anything possible on you.||2. bring your own pillows and do not expect a good nights sleep. bed is horribly old, noisy, and uncomfortable.||||overall place is "surface clean" with tons of dust and dark dingy corners. Despite charging a cleaning fee, you have to wash you own dishes with a gross sponge. Charging over $200/night for this place is laughable.

We stayed at the Hideaway, as we have in the past, and our stay there reminded us of what absolute silence β€œsounds” like. This is the perfect place to relax and recharge your soul. Listening to the duo of owls in the evening while sipping wine is not something I experience in my day to day life! Comfy bed, wonderful patio. A perfect home base for cycling around the beautiful Tomales Bay Area. The Hideaway was very clean and check-in/out procedures were clear and emailed with confirmation. We will be back. 😊

Point Reyes Station is adorable, and the Hideaway cottage holds up its end of the cuteness, especially for being dog-friendly! There's a great patio outside the Hideaway cottage that is fenced and kept our dog quite happy lounging in the sunshine each morning. (I wish the flowers in the patio garden didn't have the velcro-like seeds that got stuck all in the dog's fur, though.) The kitchen was plenty adequate for keeping some breakfast at hand and snacks for the day. The shower was quite nice as well, with good water pressure. ||||The windows to the cottage opened to let a nice breeze through during the day, and there was an adorable gas heater on a thermostat that was cozy and worked quite well at night. While the cottage was quite clean when we arrived, by the second day we had a parade of ants and an increasing number of flies/mosquitoes indoors; by the third day there was a disturbing influx of spiders. There was a notice on the front gate that it was a pesticide-free zone; clearly so, except that I had to become the pesticide. Sorry spiders. And ants and flying things. ||||Aside from the too-much-nature-indoors problem, I quite enjoyed the nature outdoors. There were chickens next door that were nice to listen to, lots of birds in the trees nearby, and some California quail that came to visit our patio each morning. I'm sure there are also non-birds, but those are the ones I noticed. ||||I am really glad we visited Point Reyes - the cottage was well-located and close to all the things we wanted to see. Plus Jeri left a helpful stack of brochures and maps about the area in our room that gave us new ideas that were some of the highlights of our trip! We loved the area, and the Hideaway was a good fit for us this trip.

We've stayed in the Pt Reyes area for many years, including the Berry Patch Cottage, but the Berry Patch Hideaway is now our favorite place. What's not to like? It's conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood on a mesa near Pt. Reyes Station. A remodeled former-garage, its roomy, comfortable and airy. The only sounds you'll hear at night might be an owl. ||Jeri is the perfect host and leaves lots of information for you if you're new to the area. The Wifi worked great. There's a TV, however, you'll probably spend your time exploring the natural wonders of Pt. Reyes National Seashore. Bring your own breakfast, the Hideaway comes with coffee & teas only, as advertised. Pt Reyes Station has several great restaurants, particularly Stellina and the Station House, the latter also serves breakfast. ||We'll be back soon, this hideaway is perfect for us!

I've stayed here 10+ times over the past 20 years. It is a quiet, familiar, home-away-from-home in one of the most remarkably beautiful places in the world.

It is just like being in a home while you are travelling. The scenary out oat Point Reyes it is unlikely you will want to spend hours anyway.
You will definitely NOT be uncomfortable. But if you want a little bit more jazzy on the decore side go to her other room which I've stayed in a couple of times It's very adult, A bit more like a stylish hotel room.

Jeri, the owner, is SO nice and very concerned that you should have a fuss-free stay. The yard and garden are pleasant side benefits. Have your breakfast outside, if you wish. Great for a family, 2 couple group, I would expect. Point Reyes itself should go done on your list as a special place. Heartwarming, rural yet chic, farmy, boviney, undiscovered and WAY quiet!! The town rolls up the sidewalks at about 8, except for the one, charming, old-style watering hole. Just writing about it makes me SO want to go!!

My husband, dog and I have stayed here on and off for years. We've tried both the small and larger cottages and enjoyed them both. Usually go for the smaller cottage since we don't need the extra room. Very comfortable, perfectly appointed, love the private courtyard! Also very fond of the owner--perfectly friendly and helpful, not at all intrusive.

The pictures of the Berrypatch cottage just don't do it justice. We stayed in this charming house for two nights and can't wait to return. We didn't leave the back patio the first night the sounds of the farm animals and the trees are definitely a big plus of this charming little cottage. Jerry it's owner leaves you a little jar of homemade blackberry jam English muffins fruit yogurt and coffee. Heaven!
