Unique is the word that comes to mind when I think of Ben's place. After seeing all the reviews I was interested in checking it out. Me and a few coworkers decided to try them for lunch. I had the breakfast eggs and American fries that where good but I would compare them to average dinner food. The others in my group ordered cheese burgers and enjoyed them and said they where flavorful and juicy. The service was good but different. That's where the unique part comes in. Our first waitress said she was just helping and gave us menus. Then the 2nd waitress was nice and helpful. My coworkers asked what they are known for and she said everything. They asked if they could make a cheeseburger and she had to check with the cook? Even though it's on the menu? There was just some things that made the experience different and few mistakes on the order but overall it was decent dinner for. The atmosphere is a classic dinner feel with a bit dated interior. Overall though decent spot for good food and ice cream.

Stopped in on Labor Day 2024 and ended up walking in right as they were closing down for the day. They offered to turn the grills and such back on, since it was Labor Day & we probably wouldn't be able to find much else. We graciously stayed, talk about hospitality!! The waitress didn't seem super confident, but she was very friendly and nice! Our orders were only slightly mixed up, but we didn't say anything because it really wasn't a huge deal! Everyone ate every morsel of food--it was delicious!! The proprietor came over and chatted with us for a bit, she was incredibly friendly and hilarious!! We ended up staying nearly 2 hours after their closing time, but no one noticed, no one was cranky, no one said anything! We had no idea and didn't get ANY vibes from the staff kicking us out!
The kids got ice cream afterwards and it was some of the best we've had! We have a local ice cream shop in our hometown, but dare I say the hand scooped ice cream at Ben's Place is better!! The watermelon sherbet has chunks of watermelon in it!! The perfect way to end summer!! If you're looking for yummy food and friendly staff, this is your place!!

Very charming place with a classic diner feel. Fresh homemade dessert with a full ice cream and milk shake bar. Great staff my son has autism and will not eat on the menu and they will make him grilled cheese or peanut butter and jelly and Fry's! It's things like that that make it possible for are family to go to dinner.

My sisters and I ate here for the 1st time recently, and I'm sorry to say the food was awful. I had the shrimp basket, which was ok, but the coleslaw had a weird ingredient in it and I couldn't eat it. I had both sisters try it and they agreed. The shrimp themselves were ok, but very tiny. My sisters hashbrowns were fried with something else and so the flavor of that came through. My other sister had a burger that was pretty pink on the inside. Our server was definitely the bright spot in all of this. She was friendly, and apologetic about the service. Apparently someone called in and she was cooking and waiting on people. We didn't care about that because most of us have been in similar situations. So, unfortunately, we won't be back.

We enjoyed a yummy lunch at Ben’s Place. If you’re not in a hurry, stop in for the tasty Hot Turkey sandwich. The whole place smells like homemade waffle cones - delicious. The strawberry rhubarb pie was the best we’ve ever had.

Nice place! The cheese curds were not the best I’ve had but they were still pretty good. The milkshake was a little runny but great flavor. Got the paddy melt and it’s one of the best I’ve had anywhere. The western chicken burger was goo as well. Loved the fries too!

This is a gem in the rough. I had the honor to stop at this place as Ibwas passing through. The atmosphere is super friendly and felt alot like family. The menu needs to be updated as their was confusion on what came with the meal and what didnt. We ordered cordon blue chicken..excellent taste. We tried the biscupts and gravy, yum and plentyful! A Patty melt burger that was worth they money. Excellent staff, and affordable. If you are in the area, check it out.

Love this sweet little place! Delicious omelets, American fries, homemade pie, and super friendly service and customers. Felt like visiting friends. We'll be back!
