The Bee on the Brow was an incredible experience. Rachel and Pete were the best hosts, and the breakfasts were amazing. My friends and I enjoyed every second that we spent there. I would give the Bee in the Brow 10 stars if I could. Do yourself a favor and book your next trip there. It was wonderful.

My wife Jennifer and I spend two nights for our anniversary at Bee on the Brow. This was the second time we've made a little get away there. Pete and Rachel are such great hosts. They combine their genuine friendliness and hospitality with a good intuition for how to let guests enjoy peace and quiet. Our room was beautiful (Sourwood Suite) and the food was amazing. Rachel made some special accommodations for our dietary needs too. We were able to visit Little River Canyon, shop and eat in Ft. Payne, and nose around Mentone while we were there. Our favorite thing though, was to sit in our room and look out a the gorgeous view. Oh, the other guests were great and it was fun each morning interacting with them at breakfast. We would highly recommend Bee on the Brow.

Beyond 5 stars! Bee on the Brow made our 3rd anniversary unforgettable. Pete carried our bags while Racheal gave us a tour, then surprised us with fresh peach pie from their own tree. They had beautiful anniversary flowers and even made a ‘3’ out of pie crust for our blackberry breakfast yogurt. The homemade-from-scratch food, stunning views, elegant interior, and perfect atmosphere were unmatched. Worth every penny — amazing hosts, amazing room, amazing stay!

My husband surprised me with a getaway for our anniversary. This was my very first bed and breakfast experience, and it could not have been more perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest hospitality and a freshly baked pie waiting for us. The setting is absolutely breathtaking. From the large back patio, we could sit for hours just taking in the panoramic view from the top of the mountain down into the valley. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, with winding walkways and plenty of peaceful sitting areas to soak in the sights and sounds of nature.

Inside, the home is designed and decorated with such thoughtful attention to detail. Every room feels luxurious yet timeless, creating an atmosphere that’s both comfortable and elegant. We had our own private area, which was perfectly appointed and made us feel right at home. The bed was incredible (the sheets felt like being wrapped in a cloud) and I had some of the best nights of sleep I’ve had in ages.

There was a fully stocked snack and drink bar available 24/7. Whether we wanted a quick treat after exploring or a late-night drink while enjoying the view, it was such a thoughtful and convenient amenity that made the stay feel even more welcoming.

Breakfast was another highlight. The menu offered so many delicious choices that it was hard to decide, but both my husband’s and my meals were phenomenal. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.

Pete and Rachel are truly exceptional hosts. They were quick to answer any questions and made it clear that if we needed anything at all, they were right there. At the same time, they respected our space and privacy, striking that perfect balance.
They even had fresh flowers waiting in our room, and for our 3rd anniversary, they cut out a little number “3” to place on top of our breakfast as decoration, such an incredible example of the thoughtful detail they put into everything! They also gave us some recommendations for things to do in the area. The horse back riding they suggested was one of my favorite memories me and my husband has made.

It’s clear they know exactly what they’re doing when it comes to running a bed and breakfast. We left feeling completely refreshed and already looking forward to the next time. I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s truly a gem.

We reserved a night at Bee on the Brow as a way station on our trip from the Florida panhandle to northern Virginia, but immediately upon arriving wished we had planned a longer stay. The Bee is beautiful inside and out, and has amazing views from the back deck, and from the window in our room. Everything about our stay was excellent, including hosts Rachel and Pete - it's apparent they put their hearts into every aspect of the Bee. Due to our long drive the next day, Rachel prepared a delicious to-go box for our breakfast, which we greatly appreciated. Like many other guests, we plan to come back and take in much more of the Mentone area and return to a relaxing stay at the Bee.

The Bee is spectacular, breakfasts are excellent, hosts Pete and Rachel are considered our friends in Mentone. We simply love this place and often stay to help celebrate our wedding anniversaries.||Pete and Rachel are special people and very good at what they do, you too will leave with this understanding.

I didn't really know what I was signing up for when I booked this for me and my wife's first anniversary. I just knew we wanted to try a B&B and get out of town for a weekend. ||That being said, I was blown away by this stay. From the time we got there to the time we left we were treated like royalty. Pete and Rachel went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and pampered. You can tell they work really hard to ensure their guests have a great stay.||A few highlights:|They are very easy going and fun to talk to.|Everything I ate was incredibly delicious and unique. I am not an adventurous eater, but I thoroughly enjoyed trying whatever she made. And if you didn't like the menu she was more than willing to adjust to your request.|It rained really hard one day and got the patio furniture wet, Pete dried the furniture himself to ensure guests had a dry seat outside to enjoy the sunset.|Masterfully decorated interior with enjoyable soft classical music.|Very classy but still cozy. ||Summary: They are very good at what they do and you would not regret paying to stay here.
