We took this Bear trip for our 35th anniversary. What a great adventure. We took a float plane to Cressent lake and was greeted by our bear guide Evan. He took us around the lake in a boat to see these amazing bears, 30 at least. All eating to fatten up for hibernation. An amazing sight. Thanks Capt. Mel for making our anniversary a day to remember.

We did get to see a fair amount of bears. Like 12 or so.
Maybe the Capt was just having a bad day. But it was double the cost of other comparable tours and the level of engagement wasn't great. Maybe it was due to really rough seas on the crossing. The couple traveling with us were really miserable

We booked a bear viewing trip to lake Clark national park with captain Mel in August 2023 and were just blown away. Captain Mel and Kim were extremely friendly, communicated well before the trip, and made this such a great experience that I would recommend over and over again. Waders were provided so that we could get as close as possible to the bears. We took so many excellent pictures and will never forget this experience. Book this trip!!
