For the first two days of our vacation in San Diego, the weather was cool, wet and windy. Upon arriving, we were thankful to find a very nicely appointed room; right down to the fireplace (not a real one) that was providing us a nice warm ambience. The bed was nice and comfy. My wife particularly liked the sheets. The room was nicely decorated and the breakfast area was stocked with all the items we requested. I really liked the big, fluffy, towels; especially since they were draped over a towel warmer. It was perfect for the cool mornings. While the facility is contactless, the keeper, Linda Mae, always let you know she was right there in case we needed anything. She was particularly accomodating toward the end of our stay when we had a real hankering for some fresh fruit. She went out that day to get some and when we returned there were fresh grapes and blueberries waiting for us. All in all it was a very pleasant experience. If your are tired of the ho-hum hotel experience, I would strongly reccommend Beach Hut B&B as a lovely and special place to stay the next time you are in San Diego.

Overall the accommodations were very nice. The host was very attentive and provides a breakfast menu for guests to order from prior to arrival. The room was a nice size with all the modern amenities: kitchen bar with mini fridge, sink, microwave, dining table, and cupboard utensils. There was a large flatscreen television above an electric ambiance fireplace and whole room climate control and wifi. The bathroom was equally nice with a stone tiled floor and shower with sliding tempered glass doors. The whole room looked like it has been remodeled very recently. Visitors should be aware that the bed mattress is very soft and plush. If you prefer a firm mattress, this may pose a problem. ||Visitors should be aware that even though the location is one block from the Pacific Ocean, there are apartment buildings throughout the neighborhood that do pose noisy conditions. The street is a pass through and can also be noisy with vehicles at times.

My husband and I really enjoyed our 7-night stay here! The bed was extremely comfortable (and we are pretty picky!). The sheets were so soft that I actually asked Linda where she got them. 😄 I was worried the Garden Room would feel too small or that we wouldn’t have space for all of our luggage, but we had plenty of room! There is even a closet with drawers, which was very useful. I love that there are only two rooms because our stay felt quiet and serene. My husband enjoyed the saline pool and always managed to have it to himself. We would definitely stay here again!

The beach Hut is a perfect place for us to stay when visiting our son in San Diego. The location is great - close to the Mission Bay walking path and also close to restaurants in the area. |Our unit was very comfortable, clean and cozy. They also stocked the refrigerator with our requested breakfast items. |We have stayed there in the past and hope to return next year!

A Perfect Getaway!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Beach Hut Bed and Breakfast and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere.

The room was immaculate and beautifully decorated, with a comfortable bed that ensured a restful night's sleep. The attention to detail was evident in every corner, from the cleanliness to the luxurious linens.

The location was perfect, offering easy access to the bay and a short distance from the beach. Whether I was relaxing at the cozy fire pit or exploring the nearby sights, I felt completely at home.

What truly sets Beach Hut Bed and Breakfast apart is the zen like feel of the property. With a pool and fire pit surrounded by palm trees and humming bird bushes the humming birds are plentiful.

And the sunsets from the nearby Mission Bay beach are frequently magical!

The host, Linda was incredibly attentive, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring that every aspect of my stay was perfect. Her genuine care and dedication made me feel like a valued guest.

I highly recommend Beach Hut Bed and Breakfast to anyone looking for a charming and luxurious retreat. I can't wait to return!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here in May, 2024. Felt private; noticed no noise at night though positioned on a well-traveled road along the bay. We stayed in the front room which is cozy but remarkably well-appointed and as described. Common area around the pool was welcoming and we enjoyed the firepit there. We came to visit our son who lives in the apartments on the bay and a mere 5 minute walk from the B&B. Access to the multi-use path around the bay is very convenient and a real plus too. We did not meet our hosts but they communicated daily with us via text to be sure all was well and to offer info about special local events. | We knew in advance that this would not have the charm of other B&B’s we’ve stayed at — no special breakfast served around a table in a grand setting by the hosts. We selected our breakfast items in advance from the host’s menu from Trader Joe’s which was just okay. No maid service isn’t a big deal for us but may be for others.| All in all and compared to other accommodations nearby, we’d stay here again.

Bed was very comfortable |Beautiful room but small. The pool was not usable as it is not a heated pool during the winter. |Centrally located to old town San Diego and pacific beach and sea world. Garden was beautiful and quiet. The host was very accommodating.

Very comfortable. The room was cozy and the bed is super comfortable! I wish I had taken more time to enjoy the outdoor space as it looked and felt very peaceful. The only thing worth noting is if you aren't driving, it's a little farther away from most restaurants. But there was a nice coffee shop down the block as well as a good brewery with good pizza. Very quiet neighborhood. Felt safe! I would probably stay here again!
