First time here. Delicious. Came for anniversary. Wonderful service. I had a nice old fashion my husband had his usual…beer. The Cesar salad was good with a nice dressing. Our server suggested boudin balls as an appetizer and they were delicious. My husband had jambalaya and loved it and I had the best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had!! Neither of us finished it all and had no room for dessert so can’t speak to that but the items we had as well as our service were exemplary. We will be back.

Had lunch at the “Roux” yesterday and it was fantastic! I had the gumbo and it was spicy, but not overly hot. The serving was more than I could finish. My husband had the blackened Po Boy and said it was great. The atmosphere is relaxed, the servers helpful, and the prices reasonable. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed!

Don't let the lack of information deter you from this place, it almost did me but glad I came anyway. I had the Jambalaya it was very good. Nice atmosphere and the bartender Jordan was amazing. She swears by the Gumbo but we don't have Jambalaya in PC so I had to have it. Best Martini in a long time. They also have Absinthe but I already ordered a Martini.

Stopped through Troy on my way to the beach for Memorial Day weekend. Incredible service and food. Food had great flavors and the staff was not only friendly but knowledgeable on gluten free options.

It was...okay. We had brunch, so maybe the dinner is better. But $19 for a bloody Mary? At brunch?!? I guess it's my fault for not asking, but that's nuts. (And it's not a particularly special bloody Mary, if you're wondering. It's pre-mix and vodka, with a few under-seasoned shrimp to make it seem fancy, I guess.)

Food was mediocre. The shrimp salad sandwich was odd: the shrimp salad itself was good, but the cold salad was placed on a griddled bun, so it just made it lukewarm and strange. Cajun hash consisted of precisely eight fried potato cubes with a few absolutely charred black onions, no spice to make it cajun and I had to salt them myself. My husband's omelette was passable at least.

It would take a lot to convince me to come back and try dinner. There are too many other good options within a few steps on the square.

First: Another non-franchised restaurant. Very good for Troy. Support our local restaurants!

Food: Swamp Hog was very close to delicious. It was excellent. Great Cajun influence with a hearty piece of meat! Boudin Balls were extremely good.

However, we sampled the Crawfish cheese dip. There is potential with this, but there was really nothing Cajun about it. There was crawfish in the dip, but was not woven into the dish as a whole. Perhaps add some light Cajun to the cheese, and ensure there is crawfish in every bite (not an entire crawfish, but maybe chopped).

The ribeye looked huge and delicious. I will be returning for it.

We've only had the privilege of going to Sunday Brunch (twice) at Bayou la Roux but we've been completely impressed with the food taste, quality, and selection. We can hardly wait until our days off work line up with the times they are open for dinner. We know it will be amazing.

Had brunch yesterday and it was great! I had the shrimp salad sandwich; my husband had (pork and gravy) over grits. Both dishes were excellent as well as our server was on top of everything! We will definitely eat there again when visiting Troy.
