Bay View Waterfront Inn is beautiful estate off the beaten path. A place to relax and the sunsets are absolutely stunning. Loved our room with the view of the water. Mary is so wonderful and the perfect host. We loved visiting with Mary. She provided us with information about the area and restaurants which the local seafood was great. Mary's breakfasts were awesome. Fresh squeezed orange juice every morning, fresh fruit, fresh veges from her garden and the French toast, eggs Benedict and omelets were amazing. Hoping to go back and stay again. Definitely a must stay if you are looking for a B & B on the Eastern Shore.
Thank you Mary for your wonderful hospitality.

We loved our stay here - and as history lovers this place was perfect! The circa 1800 house is built in the "big house little house" style so beloved by those on the Eastern Shore. The breakfasts were simply amazing, different each day, and served with such quiet refinement. Mary Will and her husband Wayne are the perfect hosts, and are so very helpful with suggestions on places of interest to visit. We crave peace and quiet so this was exactly right for us. We will return! Many thanks for making our stay so nice Mary and Wayne!

Have to admit, had a few doubts about this choice as we drove down the winding road between the soybean and corn fields, but the end of the road revealed a wonderful surprise! Ms. Mary was a gracious hostess, full of information about the area and its many attractions! We were there for a family wedding, and she was able to help us navigate to and from the various venues quickly and easily (and helped us miss most of the traffic on Hwy 13!); she provided us with directions AND an area map (which we had been unable to find anywhere else), and then topped it off with a really interesting book about the entire area. We stayed 2 nights, and the breakfasts both days were wonderful. Cell phone service is spotty at best, but this is true throughout the entire area (not just at this property). One could not ask for a more beautiful location: wide open green lawn down to a long fishing pier out into the bay/cove, surrounded by woods on one end. Very quiet and calming. Canoe & life vests available, and a pool as well, for those who want activities other than fishing from the pier or reading on the lawn. All in all, the property is beautiful, and the views from our room (Elizabeth) were gorgeous. There was no ensuite bathroom, but as we were the only visitors in that wing, it didn't matter since the bathroom was just down the hall. It felt like a weekend visiting with good friends, even though we had never met before! Thank you, Mary and Wayne for sharing your home ~ and love of the Eastern Shore ~ with us! Hope we can do it again sometime!

What a great find. Mary was an excellent host. She was very accommodating with me being a Vegan and provided fantastic breakfasts. We loved our room overlooking the water. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. She provided us with great information on the area and we found so many nice places and parks/beaches to visit. If you are looking for something quiet, and not far from route 13, this is an amazing home....

This is the 2nd time that my husband and I have stayed at the Bay View Waterfront B&B on the Eastern Shore. We had a very relaxing stay with a scenic water view from our room. There is also very little light pollution so it is a great location for star gazing where you can even see the Milky Way if the sky is clear. Good seafood restaurants are a 15-minute or so drive away. Chincoteague is just an hour's drive away. Mary Will, the owner, is very personable and welcoming. The large foyer, dining room, library and living room in the 1800 circa of the house take you back to the colonial era. Breakfasts were great including a fabulous French toast and plenty of fruit. We will definitely return! Highly recommend.

My husband had an hour long meeting Onancoc but since it is 3 1/2 hours from Richmond, Va. I went along and we stayed over at this bed and breakfast. It is set way back away from the noise, the city life and it takes you back in time. The owners were very nice. Mary was so sweet and an excellent host. We checked in, went out to the pool for a swim. Was hoping for a beautiful sunset but some clouds moved in but the view was still spectacular. The breakfast the next morning was to die for. Homemade biscuits, jam, fruit, wonderful quiche and great coffee. The bed was so comfy. We had a big picture window to look out at the water. It was gorgeous. Can't wait to go back, hopefully in the fall. This is a down to earth country place. Not modern or fancy so if you want high end and fancy go elsewhere. But if you just want quiet, down to earth, country, clean, nice TV, WiFi and to go back in time you won't be disappointed. We loved it.

Have been here twice, once before kids and once after. Privacy, quiet, nature, stars, a sunset view and terrific breakfasts. Mary and Will are delightful hosts, the home is a historic "big house little house" style on the water on a 300 acre Maryland farm with an outdoor pool in summer. We showed the kids the blue crabs in the pots at the end of the dock and cow-nose rays were jumping when we went for a paddle in the canoe all the way out to the mouth of Occohannock Creek. This is a nice base for visits to Onancock or Wachapreague, where you can rent little motor boats to go out to a sandbar near Cedar Island in the Atlantic. Brooke Room has adorable family heirloom books and toys.

We stayed for four nights. The house is a treasure and the view is terrific. Owner Mary Will is terrific too -- quite friendly and helpful. Her breakfasts were all very high quality and we always waddled away too full to have lunch.||||This location lacks strong cellular service, so you’ll have to go outside to make mobile phone calls. WiFi is good in the library, dining room, and screened porch.|| ||This is “off the beaten path” – a half mile from the mailbox that is located on a lightly-travelled rural road. There is no traffic noise whatsoever. Very relaxing. The nearest destinations are Exmore, Onancock, and Wachapreague.
