Let's be honest here. I just checked after a 3 day stay there and to be quite frank. I have absolutely nothing bad to say and I'm super picky at a lot of things when it comes to staying at hotels/motels. My room(123) was super clean, no ants or bugs of any kind. No mold and the air quality was good in my opinion. The sheets and bedding were clean and everything felt top tier. I arrived late after work around 2am and the lady that handled the front desk was super informative and kind. I didn't come across this man everyone speaks so I'll of lately and I did bump into a guy during checkout and even he was nice. The outside noise was non existent I slept peacefully for 3 days because I got sick. All I can say is I was well taken care of from the moment I checked in till I left.. great job, and definitely will be coming back here again. Thank you Basecamp puyallup. Seriously, I'm a happy customer.

What a wonderful place to stay! It truly feels like a home away from home. A refreshing breath of fresh air compared to the motel across the street. My last stay there was a nightmare, but this place is a dream. I will always choose to stay here whenever I'm in Puyallup. The staff goes above and beyond, and the rooms are extraordinary. It's definitely worth the price. I've never stayed at a hotel that felt so comfortable, warm, and friendly. I highly recommend it.

I had a room booked for the weekend and ended up leaving a day early. The rooms smelled like smoke and there were ants in the bathroom. It room was so incredibly loud that if you do stay here, bring earplugs and headphones to wear. That is not a joke. Now for the manager. He was so incredibly rude, abrasive and condescending. Just extremely unprofessional. The only positive thing about this place is that the front desk person was nice and professional. The location was perfect for events at the Fairground but I will never stay here and cannot recommend this place. You'd be better offer driving the extra 15 minutes to Tacoma and find a place there.

They claim they are exempt from ADA room requirements because they are an older hotel. This is a violation of law. Washington State requires ALL hotels to be ADA compliant. Reporting this and you should avoid staying here. Cancelled reservation. I did not stay.

We booked this property to stay close to the fairgrounds for an event we were working. It was close enough to walk there. The staff was friendly and attentive, the rooms were recently renovated, clean and had excellent air conditioning. It served all of our needs. Beds were super comfortable and it was an easy drive to downtown Tacoma. There was a Safeway and Starbucks super close which was also convenient. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

Positive: Clean, Very nice little Kitchen and amenities Negative: So very loud, No outside sound dampening at all. From a sound perspective only, I Might as well have been sleeping in the middle of a highway during rush hour traffic.

Location: off the street and actually very noisy, the windows are not soundproof to even dampen the sound. We used earplugs and got by for one night.
It was, however, off highway, which made it convenient to get on the road and drive to mount rainier.

Room: was actually renovated and very clean. Basic amenities provided. The fridge didn't work so well.

Front desk service: was fine and gave some suggestions.

Overall, a good stay.

This place was way too expensive, the doors are not sealed correctly. Light shines through all around the doors and the ac unit. You can hear cars and noises as if you were outside. My children kept waking up from the loud cars. I spent over 500 for 2 nights and ended up sleeping in my car to get the only 2 hours of sleep my entire trip. I have a family of 4 and they gave us 2 towels only. There was trash on the pathways, and the cleaners must have walked past the trash a 100 times while cleaning rooms. I will never stay here again and would love a refund. I even left a day early because there was no way my family could possibly get rest there. Absolute waste of time and money. I would recommend sleeping in your car or a park bench before staying here. Dear base camp don't hesitate to refund me and I'll gladly remove my rating. As a parent in a chaotic world, I am so disappointed in the constant disregard for hard working families trying to just find peace in this world.
