Our only problem was we had to go home!

Seriously, this was a great room! Very clean, the bed was very comfortable. Large, clean bathroom.

The manager was lovely, and very helpful.

We sat outside and drank our hot tea (they supplied), looking out at the lake this morning. Just doesn't get better than this, and can't wait to return.

I have been at most of the other motels/hotels in the Kern River Valley. Some were a horror. This really was a perfect stay.

Plumbing, A.C., and the ice machine all worked, and the room was clean - what more could you ask for? Oh, and TV with Netflix - all important amenities when the temperatures hit triple digits. The staff was amenable and helpful, and the ravens that sometimes hang out there were an added plus.

We booked a room here for my mom and dad to visit us for a few days. They had no rubber bath mat for inside a very slippy tub until the second day. The Keurig only worked for a day. They had to go and ask for new towels the second day. The bedside lamp had a short in it. The bed skirt had old blood dripping down the side. Paint peeling from the bathroom, nowhere to put anything extra in the bathroom. No management on duty, even if after 9am when they say they will be. The continental breakfast included bagels and little packets of cream cheese. The container the cream cheese were in was absolutely filthy disgusting. This entire place is horrible, unkept, and unworthy of anyone's money.

Rooms are comfortably big, & very clean. Some rooms have a private bathroom, separate from the bedroom, with a jacuzzi tub, & a separate, good sized, shower. There's a vanity area, outside the bathroom, that has studio lights, above long mirror, sink, hair dryer, & a plug for charging your devices. Best part 4 me, there's also a single cup Keurig, with coffee, sugar, creamer, provided. Good air conditioner/heater, in bedroom. A good amount of towels, & bathmats. Very comfortable bed, with plenty of soft pillows. All makes for a comfortable stay. Not cheap, but fair price, for what u get.

We had to get a place ASAP when our A/C went out. The rate was care, considering that it was next to the lowest price. But, they are PET FRIENDLY!!! Places that are not truly do not care about the traveler, but only for themselves. The place charges extra per pet, but that's what it takes since there is more involved with upkeep and cleaning. Well worth the extra few bucks.

Service was excellent, attendant made us feel welcome from the start and was very friendly, upbeat and smiling.

Rooms was exceptionally clean. Everything we needed was provided and all we had to do was unpack and settle in for a few days until the A/C is repaired.

Even their pillows were great. One was a temperpedic clone and one was a thick quilted and the other two were nice foam ones.

Water pressure in the shower was the best I've had on a hotel, ever! I didn't want to get out, ha!

I really can't say enough. It's not the greatest place ever, but the atmosphere and cleanliness made it feel just as nice.

One of the cleanest motel rooms we've stayed in. A little short on space but everything is clean, neat and in excellent working condition. The owner was very helpful and shared his knowledge of the road closures and projected weather. The amenities were great as we treated ourselves to the hard candy, popcorn, coffee and tea. The coffee maker was a bit high for my wife to use easily so it was my job to make the morning coffee. We left with their nice little notepad. Nice place that shows pride of ownership.

We had to stop by here on our way up to Alta Sierra on Thanksgiving day. The manager was very sweet and was helpful, she recommended a local restaurant. The pictures of the hotel online are not updated. The rooms are much nicer than the photos. There is a fridge, microwave, utensils, table, comfy big beds with good sheets and the TV has tons of channels. I loved the little decor touches in the rooms. Room #6 is the best!

03/05/2022. Great place to stay very close to Lake Elizabeth, although we found the Kern river is fantastically beautiful & we woke up to light snowing this morning w/a 36° weather... new towels in motel, clean, cute & dainty room. Heads up no shampoo or conditioners, or body soap, bring your own. Motel's staff is very accommodating we didn't have shampoo & conditioner and they generously poured some for us to use ;)). Will stay here again & again, we loved it. If you need produce don't go to vons go to Grocery Outlet, great deals on a lot of foods & lots of organic choices too!
