My wife booked two nights for my birthday months in advance, they never told me that there was no heat in our unit, they put two space heaters (which were in the living room no in bedrooms which barely gave off heat) needless to say we left after first night cutting Birthday fishing trip short. They told us the people before us didn't complain 🙄. Tv remotes weren't working, some had no batteries. We had to sleep in living room as it was so 🥶 cold. The guest upstairs were my relatives there place was fully heated and much nicer and they booked last minute 😡. People are only nice when booking you in not even reasonable if there's an issue. Seeing as they knew this was an issue waaaaaaaay ahead of time they still did not offer discount or anything. Wow not even on a birthday when you have no other bookings. Had to leave birthday gift early wife not happy neither am i . We would've probably came back during summer for even more time as the view & lake is beautiful . Now we have to search another upper clear lake resort until we find our Clear Lake home away from home. Really 😞☹️ disappointed and let down can't imagine they treat everyone like this but I won't go there !!! You knew there was no heat waay(months) before we got there !! Not even extra blankets !!!! Dang was so looking forward to this trip . We had to leave before our guests we invited there imagine that . I brought them twice the business and they knew that as I told them before check in . Mistreated @##$#@#$#&%®%% !!!! Did I mention we had our baby of less than one year with us overnight in the cold .

This place is a great place to stay. Friendly staff and the rooms were very clean.. The view is breathtaking. All the way around this place is great.

Baldwins Retreat is a clean, warm family oriented , and pet friendly vacation rentals that is currently making some amazing upgrades! For starters an outside shower and a dish cleaning station!! A ,5,Anice black metal fence around the front and sides, with gates that can lock, newly installed sprinkler system, the pool is being re done, and getting it ready for summer time. The three cottages have upgrades too! The upstairs has new vinyl flooring in the kitchen and bathroom, updated fixtures, freshly new grout on the kitchen counter, bigger bed in the front room which means more pillows, more lighting outside, new patio furniture for the yard area and new grass seed soon to be spread.. the kitchens have all new utensils, pots and pans, bakeware, tea pot and yes ice maker( in all three units). The cottage in front of the pool has a new sitting area with new patio furniture and the railing has been re done , it looks amazing. They have added some new accessories inside to brighten up the unit as well as a new coffee table and swamp cooler for those hot summer days!

We are staying in the lower unit called the cabana. We love it. There are two bedroom and the sofa is a day bed. I wouldn't double up adults on the sofa or the bottom bunk, but it would work for kids. Nice details throughout. The space was tastefully decorated and they had even added touches for Christmas. The kitchen was fully equipped so we made a few meals. There was a nice barbeque for each unit. There was plenty of bedding and linens. The view of the lake is perfect from the living room/dinning area. We did not try the pool but I imagine it would be awesome to be able to relax and you can watch your kids from the inside or outside on the many seating options. We also enjoyed the fake fireplace. It set such a beautiful tone at night. The family that owes the resort seems nice. I wish them lots of great business. I know I'll be back.

Lady is very immature and rude. When there she wouldn't even pay her workers who have been working weeks on the place. The owner is ridiculous to work with. Worn down place, nice view but that's it. I wouldn't recommend it at all. Will never go here again.

We love it here, Jody and her family make you feel welcome. It is a beautiful property. I will always be a repeat customer for years to come. So peaceful
