We had a terrible stay there. I’m sure you guys don’t care too much, but it was one of the worst experiences we’ve had. We had zero hot water on the last night of our stay, the people in the room next to us were blasting music till 1245 in the morning on a MONDAY night. The front desks response was sorry but I can give you a 50 dollar resort fee creditšŸ˜‚ it was 1200 dollars a night and had no hot water, after no AC the day we checked in and ā€œengineeringā€ had to come look at it etc. needless to say we’re local and will absolutely not be back. It’s a beautiful place. I’m giving it two stars because the restaurant was very good the first night, terrible the second night but they tried hard to rectify it. The hotel staff was not nearly as pleasant. The front desk staff couldn’t have been less inviting and acted like they hated being there. Ps get towels early as the electronic towel containers were almost always empty. They made an effort to refill them, but two times in two days my family of 4 (2 small children) couldn’t get towels to go to the pool or beach…at a beach resort. The pool is on the opposite end of the property to the beach. It’s a Beautiful place but there is about 10 other resorts that are far better for the money within 15 miles.

We loved our stay at this resort! Just a 3 hr drive from home and great change of pace for school spring break.||The beach area was perfect for our 9-year-old. He had a blast fishing off the dock, playing with other kids on the floating docks, and having fun during the two days we were there. The green space for kids was a great touch, and both restaurants, along with the beach bar, were fantastic! While the rooms could use a little updating and the pool wasn't the best, overall, we had a great experience at Bakers Cay and will definitely be back !

Travelled to Miami and The Keys from the UK and this was one of three ā€˜resorts’ we stayed at in the Keys, the other two being The Marker in Key West and Cheeca Lodge in Islamorada. ||We booked a Suite in Coconut Wing, but were ā€˜upgraded’ to a corner suite next to reception in Hammock Wing. The rooms are spacious and quite nice (hence two stars) but that’s where it ends. Every day we were there, areas were closed off due to weddings. Service is unbelievably slow at the beach (bar and activities). So much so, we cancelled our order. Reception staff are OK, but no warm welcome or welcome drink (which we got in the other two resorts). Barely any activities or facilities for the ā€˜resort fee’ (I hate this about US hotels - charging people for WiFi and water and pool towels is not cool, especially given the room rates). Cheeca Lodge was FAR better value for money in this regard. ||Main issue was noise. Shocking. We had noise from the lift opposite, delivery trucks reversing through the night, staff trundling trollies past the room at all hours, kids banging on our door and running away late at night, piped music from the main building that seemed to be playing 24/7, noise from the room above. It was awful. We did complain on check out any they waived the bill, including the resort fee, which was appreciated but it spoiled the last two days of our holiday. I so wish I had have booked the hotel next door (Playa Largo).

My family ( 14 yr old and 10 yr old) and wife had a really nice time at Bakers Cay Hilton. Really peaceful setting and very clean. The room shower was amazing. Beach areas have great views and lots of trees around to give shade if you’d like. Everything is close by while at the resort. Pool was nice with an adult and family side. Service at the beach area was great, staff was very attentive and it was easy to room charge food and drinks. Some fun things to do at the resort as well. One big complaint was each day we stayed, there was a wedding for 3 days in a row, which caused us to be kicked out of the hammock beach at 1 o’clock and therefore loud music from about 3pm to 8pm and the random loud semi intoxicated individuals near bedtime. For the room prices I expected peace and quiet. 1 wedding I most certainly would overlook, but 3 in row in too much.

The scenery doesn’t disappoint and is accurate to the picture's. Restaurant staff are kind and the food is delicious. The local animals such as iguanas and kitties are adorable and entertaining (even the squirrels.) We enjoyed the delicious, fresh drinks at the poolside bar. Everything was very clean and meticulous throughout the resort.
Our only complaint was a loud wedding party that woke up this light sleeper as everything echos in the halls. If you are a light sleeper, you’ll hear every door slam and child scream.
Also, housekeeping didn’t always refill our small towels, coffee, and toilet paper which was a bummer to keep having to ask.
Overall, the resort was gorgeous and again the view was breathtaking!

The resort itself was absolutely beautiful — no denying that. My kids had a great time snorkeling, kayaking, and paddle boarding, and the setting was picturesque. But beyond the scenery, the experience left a lot to be desired.

I’ve never encountered a more rude, uncaring, and incompetent group of staff. From the moment I checked in, there were billing issues — my debit card was overcharged, money was taken out twice, and I was overbilled again at checkout. No one seemed concerned or even remotely apologetic about the situation.

The food was mediocre at best, which might have been forgivable if the service had been even halfway decent. But here’s the thing — people may forget the details of a room or how nice the pool looked, but they’ll never forget how they were treated. And unfortunately, the way we were treated overshadowed what could’ve been a great family getaway.

Until there’s a serious change in staff attitude and competence, I wouldn’t recommend this resort — no matter how beautiful it looks in pictures.

I had a really nice stay at Baker’s Cay Resort in Key Largo. The resort has beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere, which made it a great place to relax.

Liliana was fantastic during my stay. She was very friendly and accommodating, always willing to help with anything I needed. Her warm attitude definitely made a positive impact on my experience.

The resort’s amenities were good, with comfortable rooms and nice options for dining. It’s a great spot if you’re looking for a calm and enjoyable getaway. I would definitely recommend it, and I’m looking forward to returning in the future!

My disappointment with this resort grows the longer I think about our experience. For $895 per night you would expect what’s advertised- a 4 star resort. That is not what we experienced. The primary issue was the room, particularly the mattress/bed, which was extremely uncomfortable and strangely caving in towards the shoulder area. We lasted one night in the bed and resorted to taking the mattress out of the fold away and sleeping on it on the floor for the next 2 nights. We also discovered a urine stain on the foldaway mattress as we were putting it back the last morning. We figured all rooms would be similar so didn’t consider saying anything. We did ask for new pillows, as those were like deflated sacks of feathers, but the replacements were not much better. Our backs and necks are killing us. Other things to note- the room is in need of some TLC overall- bubbling laminate floors, scuff marks on the baseboards, filthy sliding door handles, shower silicone peeling off. The service was variable at the restaurants. The first night we waited about 40 minutes to get our food, but the last night was much better. Hot tub at the pool had a weird problem with the jets bubbling up instead of typical jetting, and the control was broken. I will say the location is nice and our view from the room was great. There’s not a whole lot more that was positive, and for that we cannot recommend this resort. We did report the mattress issue this morning and were refunded some additional charges which was nice, but it does not rectify our disappointment.

Edit: I spoke to management again today. I added that on our way out of the resort we saw maintenance men carrying mold covered mattress out towards the parking lot area. I’m not sure if that was ours, but regardless a major health and safety issue. Today management (I believe here name was Rochelle), was very understanding and apologetic. We received a partial refund which does make us feel better. Unfortunately we will never get those 3 nights on vacation back, and I would not stay here again.
