What a great time we had with family in Camp Verde, AZ. If you come for a visit to this friendly little town, do not miss Babe's Round Up. My family raved about their brisket and even ordered seconds! I enjoyed the grilled chicken and sweet potato fries. The staff is excellent, kind and friendly. We are so happy we found this little gem. Camp Verde is such a nice small town. Isn't this a great country? America the beautiful, full of patriots and great BBQ!

My first experience there a few years back was stellar. The food and experience were awesome.
This last weekend not so much. While the service was good, the brisket sandwich was terrible. The brisket was seriously undercooked, rubbery and fatty. It was mostly inedible. I gave most of the meat and fat to my dog since I couldn’t chew through it and essentially paid $15 for a grilled cheese sandwich.

As a staple on their menu, they really need to find someone that can properly smoke a brisket.

I just relocated to the area for work. I found this place that has odd hours but was persistent that I wanted to try it. I lived in Texas for a long time and I know it's a different kind of barbecue but this brisket does not compare. This brisket is cooked in I don't know maybe water with some smoke flavoring something was very off about it. And then when I decided to add a side of fries on my to-go order I ordered the garlic ones thinking there would be some garlic on it. Lol and then they offered me some ranch don't offer anybody ranch if it's going to be just watered down ranch!!! Every time you dip your fry in it it just ripped all over your shirt because it was so runny. And I had to come home and put the fries in an air fryer. The one highlight was the lady that took my order and helped me was very friendly.

Service was 5 star all the way. Atmosphere was 5 star all the way. BBQ sauce is homemade and 4 out of 5 stars. Taco salad was 5 stars. Hamburger and grilled cheese sandwich was a 5 star. The ribs was a let down for us. We got 4 ribs that were over cooked. They had a good smoke on them but I was unable to eat half of my ribs because the meat was so dry and over cooked. The pulled pork was also very dry. The brisket was good. It had great flavor, good smoke, and juicy. I am hoping that the ribs were overly dry because they were so thin. As for the pulled pork.
Would I come back? Yes. But I would make sure to request a thicker and juicier cut of ribs. I gave this review a 3 star because when I go to a BBQ house, I expect to eat ribs that are well prepared.

I went by the reviews , so made a stop here while in the area. The food was NOT good! I’m sorry but not sure what the other reviewers think BBQ should taste like. The food had absolutely no taste, very bland! My husband got the ribs and they were hard, he had to cut them off with a knife! They were drowned in bbq sauce! Beans were just the same, they were actually pinto beans that tasted right out of the can and heated up. Such a disappointment, waste of money and time! I do not recommend!
