This may be an old hotel, but what a nice one! Friendly staff. Awesome view from balcony, wonderful firm bed and firm sitting chairs for us with bad backs. Yes, older, a little worn out, but those chairs are made with quality! Breakfast was good and plentiful and the lady was working hard to keep it filled. Biscuits & grave, eggs, sausage patties, yogurt...all included. I will be back for sure.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, and the bed was comfy. It's about a 20-minute walk from downtown. The front desk was extremely friendly. Breakfast was decent. But i expected more from other reviews i saw. Semi-basic, nothing extraordinary.

We came for a special event. While checking in, I asked about commuting, and I was told local taxis was our only option. With some crazy luck, we discovered a free shuttle to the event from the hotel. I was surprised the front desk didn’t know about the shuttle picking up people since the event provided this service, and I had told them I was staying there for this event.

Although this is an older-style motel, they have kept it up pretty remarkably. The beds were great! And the view of the dock harbor from the balcony made it more than worthwhile! We sat out there in the evening dark & in the morning dawn, and enjoyed watching the harbor & light change. In the range of continental breakfasts available at many places, this was very good. The staff were helpful. Considering all of this and the price, we will definitely stay here again.

It was very dirty. Old towels from previous occupants still hung on the shower curtain. An ant infestation got into my bags and the bed and flies. Very noisy, kept up all night. The tv offered some free movies but the volume kept getting too quiet then too loud and not syncing the video and audio. Couldn’t use the coffee maker in the room because it was so dirty. The shower was clogged. Mold and rust around the bathroom. Uncomfortable bed. The heater was broken so if it was turned on at all it would be too hot, but when turned off it would be too cold and they only give you a few thin blankets to sleep with. Bird poop on the balcony and stains all over the carpets. Soap was running down the front bathroom counter, as if it wasn’t cleaned at all. One of the outlets by the bed didn’t work so the lamp wouldn’t turn on. The breakfast was okay but needed more healthy choices. However the staff was very friendly and apologetic and the size of the room, the view, and the price made it almost worth it.

I recently stayed at the Riverwalk Astoria Inn in room 159, which had a fun and unique theme that made it stand out. The decor was charming and really fit the vibe of the area, which I appreciated. However, while the room was mostly clean, there were some issues..most notably, a bunch of someone’s hair in the tub, which was a bit off-putting. Some mold spotting in the bathroom. The paint on the walls also seemed rushed, with noticeable streaks. It wasn’t a huge deal, but it was a bit distracting given the overall theme of the room.

On the plus side, the view from the balcony was fantastic, offering a great spot to relax and take in the scenery. The front desk staff seemed a bit inexperienced. When I checked in, one of the women had her child with her, which I didn’t mind, but she was oddly meticulous about asking for our license plate number, even though we were given a parking pass to display in the windshield, which seemed unnecessary. At checkout, the other front desk staff member was on the phone for over 10+ minutes without acknowledging me or offering a simple "I'll be right with you," which was a bit frustrating.

Overall, while the hotel had its quirks—especially in terms of customer service, it wasn’t terrible. If you’re on a budget or in a pinch, it’s not a bad option. It would of been a 5 if they had better customer service.

We booked this hotel as a last minute getaway as there were no other options in this price range. The outside is dingy and unappealing but the room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also clean but showing it’s age. There was no cover on the ceiling fan. We paid a little extra for a marina view and that was worth it. It’s fine in a pinch but I felt it was expensive for what it was. You can find much nicer options in this town for not much more.

We have stayed here several times over the years. The staff does a great job! The rooms are always in good order, well stocked. Beds are comfortable, TV/cable has a good selection of channels.
Continental breakfast is top notch, with selections ranging from waffles, bagels, eggs, cold cereal, to biscuits and gravy. Coffee, tea, and juices to complete your meals. We are coming back at the end of the month.

I read reviews that were all over the board for this motel. Many people complained bout it being "dated". I couldn't possibly care less about that. The room was clean and fresh, the linens were crispy white (except for that little coffee spill -sorry!), and we had a balcony and marina view, booking through one of the hotel apps. It was a great deal for us and our pup. Our initial contact could improve her customer service skills, but maybe she was having a bad day. Nice weekend stay. ❤️
