Why four stars for service? Actual service is great, hard working down to earth people here---but there are no breakfast items, not even the usual suspects (bagels/juice/cereal), just a coffee maker in the room. But, the rooms are reasonably priced and always clean which is why this is my go to motel in Astoria. They have remodeled so to the rooms are more modern. There is a fridge and microwave for the thrifty traveler plus the main part of town is pretty close. My tip? Get on the parallel street south of the hotel and instead of feeling the traffic racing by in an aura of exhaust and haste, you'll see more of Astoria, all the old houses and cars parked on the street. Location is four stars because it's on the west edge of town, but most of the affordable motels are.

The super friendly staff- even called me to make sure I checked in before they closed. The rooms were recently remodeled, clean and easy. It had everything you need for an easy stay. I think my favorite part was the different types of pillows for those is us with specific pillow needs, you get a choice! A bargain for sure!

Cute, cozy hotel, walking distance to a lot of local restaurants/pubs. We stayed in one of the suites with a full kitchen and living room. It was very clean and well maintained.
The front desk staff were so friendly and helpful. Michelle was very knowledgeable about the town and gave us a lot of great recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants in the area. We had an amazing time, and will definitely stay here again.

A slightly shabby, but great motel! (and the rooms are being renovated, so that slight shabbiness is on its way out) The in-room fridge, microwave, and coffee maker were great. The bed was very comfortable, and all of the linens were perfect. The wifi was good enough to stream and have video calls on. Everything was clean. Highly recommend!

The room looks newly updated. Everything appears new. It was clean, quiet and nice. The bed was harder than Im used too, but the sheets are soft. Id definitely recommend this motel.

Positive: The bed was super comfortable and the hotel was very clean. Negative: My only complaint is that the shower didn?t drain very well. By the time we were done showering there was about 5 inches of water in the tub.

No ice machine, or soap in the shower (hand soap dispenser outside of the bathroom), or phone in the room with our stay. Very clean though and reasonably priced. Some of the rooms are being remodeled. Plenty of disposable drinking cups so you can put soap in one of those for your shower.

The location is absolutely awesome!
HOWEVER, I would not recommend this motel!
The kitchenette room we stayed in was ok. However the fan in the bathroom did not work. Their wifi did not work. They blamed it on their renovations. And the room was either too hot or cold.
Aside from that, the office staff are very rude and disrespectful. I went in to ask a question while the office gal smoked a cigarette. I waited patiently, but she never came in. The evening gal, older lady, was very snippy and complained about having guests. Then she treated my elderly parents absolutely terribly when they checked in and again as they were trying to lighten the mood because of her sour attitude. Needless to say, we will never stay here again. I hope the owner sees this post. Because these two people are ruining your reputation. I will be posting reviews on TripAdvisor, hotels.com and more to assure that people know what they're in for with the staff at this location.
