It was hot, hearty, and plenty for two people to share - they even gave us extra sourdough bread. The cafe is super cute and linked to a cocktail bar with extra seating on the left and a local retail store on the right with even more seating and super cute local/handmade souvenirs. Overall this place was great and I definitely recommend. Thanks, Astoria Coffee House & Bistro”.

I love a place with good Vegan options; food was very good! Counter service, street parking, smells like good coffee. Friendly staff, good service in general, water station and clean bathrooms. There’s also a cute shop, and a bar. We tried the Squash soup, tempeh wrap and tacos. Very good meal and walkable place.

Perfect place for a coffee and some pastries.
Update: only 3 seats inside this time. We paid good money for some pastries and then had to go eat them outside in the cold because there was no seating indoors. I'm very sad now that I paid so much tip for no service at all :((

Always expensive and now increasingly mediocre. As a local to the area I have been here a number of times over the years for one reason or another. I’ve always considered it moderately expensive for what one gets but have shrugged it off as an occasional option due to the food historically being decent. Today I went for brunch and decided to treat myself to the salmon hash ($16) and splurge even more by trying a bloody mary ($12). What I got was more than three quarters of a bowl of tater tots with eggs and small slivers of salmon in it (image displayed is after I ate the meager ingredients unceremoniously dumped on a massive amount of tots). The bloody mary was a pint glass of bloody mary and ice with no garnish or interesting spice to it - literally any dive bar in town will at least try to whip up a better one. Pathetic.

Our mixed experience was a bummer due to customer service.
Kitchen gets full marks for highly nutritious veg options. We had squash soup, the veg burrito and the veg poke bowl and split chai cider and a scone.
The service lacked care and cleanliness—this would have made a world of difference.
The cashier couldn’t take 3 minutes to wipe the table down or pick up food that previous customers dropped or provide us silverware before we got our food and wouldn’t let me grab silverware.
I used paper napkins to wipe down the table and pick up food on the ground, and put napkins on the table below our plates. I also wiped the table down when we left.
My dad kindly let the cashier know about our concerns of uncleanliness and how I cleaned up before/after. The cashier didn’t apologize or offer to try to make it right. Instead, he agreed and said they were busy and that we had a solution by me doing the cleaning.
The dismissive customer service made up our decision not to go back to this bistro.
Tip for success: order to go to and by pass the customer service and human interaction all together or BYO silverware and cleaning towel.

Wow! What a find! Deserves 5 stars. Happened upon it accidentally and felt like this was the highlight of our trip. Food: excellent! Had scallops (perfectly cooked) and salmon—yum! our friend who is vegan had a great black bean burger (had avocado on it, fries were GF with house made Smokey ketchup ). Drinks and wine were top notch. They even had gluten free dessert. Some of the tables are in a bar like atmosphere, some in the middle cafe portion and some in a very eclectic import shop. Go here—you WONT be disappointed!!!! I’ll be back! (PS a local told us they come here twice a week it’s so good)

Cute shop, but wasn't impressed with the food.
I got the bagel and lox, which came disassembled with 2 small slices of cream cheese (barely enough to cover the bagel), 3 very thin slices of salmon (also barely enough to cover the bagel), a lot of spinach and red leaf lettuce (when the menu said greens, I was expecting more like microgreens), a lot of red onion, some tomato, and some capers on top(which quickly did their best to hide under all the greens). For $16 I expected at least twice that much salmon, and maybe not having to assemble it myself.

Nice coffee in a small space. Low availability on seating, so it’s more of a grab-and-go vibe. Pastries looked awesome (cupcakes, cake slices, croissants, brownies). They serve coffee into late in the afternoon, which is great as well
