Came here during a nice Tahoe getaway with my partner and what a nice find! It's a bit of a hole in the wall hidden gem because of the location.

Good:
- Great asian food in an otherwise sparse Asian food location!
- Super fast service - came out really quickly
- The place is simple and clean, wooden ambiance
- The tamago was not too sweet but just enough that it was nice
- The orange chicken teriyaki was nice since it was a bento box with miso soup and other little items like gyoza and tempura. Lots of variety and each was good
- I liked the tempura dragon roll sushi - big portion sizes and very fresh

Bad:
- Got the wrong order at first - chicken karaage instead of chicken teriyaki, but they were nice about it
- A little bit pricier of a meal

Overall enjoyed the meal here and would come again if I was in the area.

When ordering, please ensure your order is taken accurately. I ordered teriyaki grilled salmon, but the service was slow because our order was forgotten, which was upsetting as my son was hungry.

Phenomenal Sushi: The sushi here is simply unparalleled. I highly recommend trying the Hawaiian Volcano or the Hawaiian Sunset. These rolls are a testament to the chef’s creativity and skill, blending fresh, high-quality ingredients into a harmonious explosion of flavors. I indulged in a variety of sushi, each piece as delicious as the last – from the delicate tuna and salmon to the rich albacore and the delightful fried octopus balls.

Exceptional Service: Our server was a standout, running a one-man show with grace and efficiency. His attentiveness and knowledge of the menu made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Despite being busy, he ensured every table was well taken care of, and every order was perfect.

Unique Appetizers: The appetizer, a fried softshell crab, was a showstopper. Tempura-style, it was crispy, flavorful, and utterly satisfying. It's a must-try that sets the tone for the fantastic meal ahead.

Refreshing Drinks: To complement the meal, we tried the raspberry lemonade and the passionfruit boba without the actual boba. Both drinks were refreshing and delicious, perfect companions to the exquisite sushi.

Creative Menu: Asian Vibes offers some intriguing takes on traditional sushi. One such highlight is their sushi wrapped in rice paper, providing a unique texture and flavor profile. The diversity of the menu speaks to the owner’s innovative approach and deep understanding of Asian cuisine. Interestingly, the owner hails from Burma, adding an extra layer of cultural richness to the culinary experience.

The food is decent, but the service is extremely, extremely slow. Took us more than 1 hr to get food served to us - and it was only two simple Ramen dishes. The restaurant was maybe 2/3 full at the time. Highly doubt I'll be back.

First time at Asian Vibes and everything was amazing! Great customer service! We ordered the Fried Calamari, Fried Gyozas, Crunchy Tempura Roll, Black Dragon Roll, Tuna Sushi Burrito and everything was amazing! They even gave me a birthday treat. Definitely coming back so happy they are here!

Myat and her staff are remarkable! Nicest people you could ever meet! We had a wonderful meal at our home town restaurant and will always support these hard working people.

Being a new sushi restaurant in North Lake Tahoe, they continue to hit it out of the park. Keeping it fresh, modern, and high quality. A couple of our favorites tonight was their Black Dragon Roll, Hawaii Sunset roll, Unari, and can’t forget the calamari. Rumor has it, they are planning to roll out ramen in the future. Perfect for winter at the lake.

Being a local for over 40+ years and seeing restaurants come and go over time, we can’t support Myat and her team enough. We look forward to her success. If you haven’t tried Asian Vibes yet, you better start running and knocking on their doors. Cheers!

Won’t be back. Food was okay, service was horrible and incredibly slow. Food comes out as it’s available and not all at once. The food is also brought out and just put on the table so we had to figure out what it was and who ordered it. Miso soup was unbelievably salty. When we were finished, they were not in a hurry to give us the check even though we had all been finished eating for a while.

NOTE TO ALL PARENTS- No changing table in the bathroom for baby and no other restaurant open to go when baby accidentally goes through clothes. I was willing to drag and sanitize an open (available) table that had no chairs the whole 90 minutes we were there but it was not allowed. We were allowed to move 2 chairs into the bathroom and change the baby on those but that’s unbelievably unsafe even with 2 parents trying to change a baby and hold the chairs.

Stopped by for lunch, I ordered the miso soup, fried gyoza, albacore nigiri and with the recommendation of my server I got the Hawaiian sunset roll. I don’t remember the last time I had sushi this good in Tahoe, so much so I’m writing this review as I eat. The customer service is 10/10, the food is equally as amazing. There is nothing better than melt in your mouth fresh quality fish. The prices are best in the area, highly recommend and will be back as my go to sushi spot.
