Played golf recently and quite a bit in the past. The course is tucked in between a lot of restaurants and businesses but has all the aspects of a full on Arizona resort and golf destination.

The course itself is distinctive for its layout and construction. It’s challenging and pleasing as much as it is well cared for. The golf shop and assistance staff are all serious and helpful. Online booking didn’t work, I don’t know why, but I chatted with someone online and they called me to confirm my booking which was successful. Showed up early to hit balls into the net which serves as their driving range which isn’t optimal. A small putting area at the tee box is adequate but somewhat less than other course of this caliber.

We have stayed at the resort with the extended family and enjoyed the water park with its slide and pools which was great on a hot day here in Phoenix. The pool staff and bar food at poolside was fresh and good meeting our expectations.

Our group was large so we had connecting rooms close to the water park which made accessing our water park goal for the weekend that much easier although the parking has its limitations.

Overall as a resort Arizona Grand has everything wanted or needed for a staycation and I’d imagine visitors to Phoenix would find it enjoyable and affordable.

This is a truly great resort. The facilities are stunning and clean. The grounds are maintained very well, the rooms are large and well-appointed, and the premises was festively decorated for the holiday season. ||We frequently made use of the lobby building -- especially due to the holiday -- because they had great food (Starbucks + more) for breakfast, and superb gelato at night. ||The rooms themselves were clean and spacious with a living area and a bedroom area. Bathrooms were small, but again clean. ||We were only able to enjoy the water park on 12/23, because it was closed 12/24 and 12/25. I don't have a problem with this decision; it would make sense to close an amenity for Christmas. What I did have a problem with, however, was the fact that the resort failed to notify already-booked customers of the change from not closed to closed on those dates. When people call your resort and are told (specifically told that the Waterpark would be open 12/24 and 12/25) information you should either make good on your promise or properly notify guests of your change in decision. Adding that information to the website in November, when people have already booked is unacceptable -- not fair notification to those who were misled by your own organizations words. For the sake of others, please at least email or call folks in situations like this is in the future. ||To end on a positive note: this resort was truly wonderful and relaxing. We enjoyed all of the features of the resort, and I'm not willing to dock the rating because of this rare inconvenience. The staff was truly great as well. They were so generous to work during these dates and brought the holiday cheer the whole time -- truly wonderful + kind people.

Hotel and spa are amazing. It's aged, but not to out dated. Wished the pool and hot tubs were a bit warmer.

The water park was a bust as they kept closing the slides or lazy river.
On the plus, the water is warm.

Golf was fun, but they need marshals out there to move people along. 5 hours to play was a bit much.

Classic old resort with spacious public spaces and 2 room large suite. Especially the lobby which overlooks the golf course and has great fire pits and sitting areas. Did not try the restaurants but the lobby bar is great with wonderful bartenders. Would highly recommend for families and a multiple day stay.

My daughter picked your hotel for her birthday trip, specifically for the water park. Since we would be at your facility on thanksgiving we called and explicitly asked if it would be open. We were told it would be. We arrived with her extremely excited and were told that you decided to close the water park. So now our choice is to change plans at our own expense and stay longer or she misses out. It feels like a bait and switch. The rest of your hotel is open and staffed but lifeguards get the day off? Seems a lot like a money saving strategy for you since you aren't booked enough. We were offered a gelato coupon for the inconvenience. It feels extremely clear that transparency and honesty with your guests is nowhere on your priority list. We won't be staying with you again. Be honest. It's not "just business" you affect people who are spending exorbitant sums of money to have a nice experience.

I am currently staying at the resort and I must say I am very impressed. The resort is in top condition, very well manicured and overall a very nice place to walk around.

The lobby and shared buildings look great, you couldn't tell it is an "older" resort. And by older, I mean that the rooms have a bathtub and not the more modern walk-in shower like in newer places. Speaking of the rooms, they are very large, I really enjoy having a separate living area with a door to the bedroom. This being a business trip, it's nice to have a desk outside of the bedroom to work . Lots of storage space... And I mean LOTS of it! This is easily a resort I could visit for vacation and spend a week without any issue. The waterpark looks great, it is very big and at this time of year, not too busy.

And now, the cherry on top... The fitness center 😲😲. This fitness center is way better than other resort I have ever visited. It's actually better than some of the paid gyms I have seen.

Whipped cream on top of the cherry? No problem, we'll add the amazing staff. Everyone is welcoming and ready to help. Smiles all around to make you feel welcome and that you're never a bother.

At first, the resort looks very large and beautiful but as you get closer you notice the resort is very run down. Many areas of the hotel smell horrible, you learn quick to take the stairs and avoid the smell of the elevators. The worst part of this stay was easily the service. These guys are the worst. Although I spent a good amount of money at the resort, they would nickle and dime EVERYTHING. I ordered door dash for breakfast (was annoyed of the expensive room service showing up cold and the delivery guy pushing for tips) and although they took the door dash they wouldn’t delivery it to my room, they held my food until I got ahold of them and wouldn’t deliver it until they could charge me for it.

Great property! The water park and gym were amazing. Bed was comfortable and staff was very friendly! There was a ton to do with the pools all around. It was nice to sit up at the lobby and enjoy the fires while watching some golf. Would recommend this for families.
