Kinda disappointed with the shop. I drove an hour and half (Bakersfield) to get a hydro and nitrox fill in my deco bottles. Was called on Wednesday that they were ready for pickup. Drove up Thursday afternoon to pick up and they were empty...... I asked about the fill and was told sorry, "Mike's gone for the day, come back tomorrow".... Not wanting to spend another three hours on the road to maybe have my tanks filled the next day, I took my tanks. Frustrating.... The whole point to going here was for nitrox. Guess I'll be getting my nitrox fills when I go to SoCal. Staff was friendly enough and the shop does have a fair amount of gear in it.

I’ve been coming to this place for years. They do great work, and have high quality products. The products they sell are not junk. They are dependable, have great service and have a knowledgeable staff and best of all they are honest. They treat me like family. I would recommend Aqua Sports to anyone. They truly are “The Diver’s Dive Shop”.

I heard of Aqua Sports in 2005 from a good friend. I had always wanted to learn to dive. I had the opportunity to meet Mike Sahakian, the owner of the shop. Mike was super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He walked me through many different possibilities for gearing up to scuba dive comfortably. I was amazed at the many varieties of gear in such a small shop.
I felt like a kid in a candy store.
Mike walked me through the gear I was interested in, without pushing me in the wrong direction just to get me to spend more money. He has an ironclad promise that if any piece of gear is not right for me, I can return it for full credit towards the purchase of something else. He stands behind everything he sells.
Mike has an exceptional staff that are very accommodating and worked around my schedule in order to complete my scuba certification.
I stop by the shop on a regular basis, and Mike and Bruce always treat their customers like family.
I have traveled extensively, and Aqua Sports has the best service and equipment around. If he doesn't have it, he will get it for me.
If you don't see it in the shop, just ask, and he can probably get it from his warehouse.

The best dive shop I’ve been to. My wife and I came in and were greeted with the best customer service I’ve had in a long time. Bruce was so knowledgeable and extremely personable. He helped fit us to all the gear we needed and went above and beyond to make sure everything fit us perfectly. Thank you so much!

I gave this company a fair 2 star review on Yelp (see below) for my initial experience regarding their lack of customer service, and for refusing to refund any or part of the $250+ of products and services I purchased less than 2 days previously from him. (His return policy on his website states within15 days a full refund)

I even filed a complaint with the BBB to help me clear this up, but his position stayed unchanged...No Refund!

So, instead of the owner working this out amiably and courteously and professionally, he has instead shown me and now all of you, his contempt for his "Dive Buddies" and customers. Buyer Beware!

Years ago this place was awesome...Don't bother now, the owner provides no customer service that works for the customer, only for him. He doesn't listen to the parameters of the customers needs, and when he tells you your serviced items are ready, they're actually not ready. Expect to pay more than your estimated cost...I paid $150 more dollars on the bill that he never laid out for me in advance. Once I got home, I realized that I got bullied and went back to get a refund. He refused and threw me out of his store so he didn't have to refund me a dime. Wow! Avoid this place.
