I had a great dining experience at Anatolian Kitchen! We started with the eggplant purée, which was decent, and the lentil soup, which was flavorful and comforting. The octopus salad wasn’t my favorite, but the truffle fries were absolutely delicious—highly recommended.

For the main course, the shish kebab was unfortunately quite tough and hard to chew, but the Adana kebab was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The real highlight of the meal was the branzino fish—fresh, tender, and beautifully prepared.

We ended the night with baklava and künefe paired with Turkish tea, and they were both amazing—perfectly sweet and satisfying.

The hospitality really stood out; our server was attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better. Overall, I had a good time and will definitely be coming back!

We made a last minute late Sunday lunch booking. The service was warm and friendly. It’s a small and a cosy restaurant, and the menu has some great options. We loved everything we ordered. Only gripe is that the food took a bit long to arrive. The baklava is to die for!! Do yourself a favor and order the baklava!!!

(Jun 2024) My group sat outside since we had a dog - it was a sunny, windless day and the table was in the shade.
My group got Mix Appetizer Platter to share and then we each ordered a wrap. I got the Doner Wrap which was ok. I liked the fries. The Mix Appetizer Platter was a good choice for variety but I only liked the hummus, yogurt, and eggplant appetizer. The bread was really good and warm when it was served - however, the amount of bread provided to us wasn't enough for our group of four and the amount of appetizer on the platter. We had to ask for more consistently - which the staff was happy to provide but it was somewhat annoying to keep asking. I think consumed four baskets of the bread.

Excellent, high-quality food! The appetizer plate is fantastic, offering a great variety of dishes to sample. The portions are generous, though I do wish there were more vegetarian entrée options, as some people avoid it for that reason. The service is outstanding, and it’s a wonderful spot for team lunches or family gatherings.

Same owner as Barbayani in Los Altos . Food was very good and service too
Good selection of appetizers, salads, wraps with good options for vegetarians
Only bad part is the homeless sleeping outside the restaurant on California avenue. The city should do something

Anatolian Kitchen offers a delightful dining experience. For appetizers, we tried the calamari fries and falafel, both of which were satisfying and well-executed. The main course featured a grilled Branzino that was perfectly cooked, and the chicken Adana kebab, which was flavorful and tender. While the food quality was impressive, the portions were smaller than expected, which is the only reason for the 4-star rating. Despite this, the overall experience was enjoyable, and the flavors were on point.

On a Friday evening in July, it was less than 25% occupied. It’s too bad because there are some shining stars here!

It’s almost authentic Turkish cuisine — it’s slightly toned-down and less greasy than what you’d get at some casual restaurants in Istanbul.

⭐️Irem was an awesome server.

⭐️The appetizer platter and paper-thin lavas is a 10/10! Be sure to order a glass of raki to go with it.

⭐️The Alexander’s favorite platter would’ve been perfect if it had come with a vegetable or some other side dish. (You have to order it separately.)

Skip the Turkish tea — it is unfortunately very weak compared to what you’d find in Istanbul.
