Americourt Hotel - Mountain City, Tennessee

Ok. The reviews tell a lot
There is no Continental breakfast.just the way it is, and the pool is currently not available. Call them directly to confirm yes or no. The room has a nice refrigerator but no microwave. Plan for that. The bed and sheets were wonderful. The ac / heater worked just fine. Water pressure was good and there was plenty of hot water. Shampoo and conditioner were available, too. They do have nice microwaves in the office area. We used them while there. The price of the room was great. Not expensive. Its an older motel. If you are in the area, and not wanting to travel so far, this is a good place, just remember it's not a high dollar "Hotel" with all the amenities you get to pay for in price. We have relatives in Mountain City, so we were minutes away. If you want non-smoking room, ask for it. They have both and pet friendly too. We stayed a week and it was good enough for us, and cheaper than a Holiday Inn. Thanks again Americourt.

Out of the two motels in our city to choose from..this one is definitely the best choice..the other one is never cleaned well and did have roaches. To be fair, I heard MTN. Empire Motel is now under new management and ownership so for the new owners sake I hope they debug the place and get some decent cleaning staff!
Americourt is clean, reasonable on price, located in a good area, hàs wifi and no pool.

Stayed there from Thursday night til Sunday morning .when we were checking out we looked around to make sure we didn't forget anything. Had some friends stay the night and they helped us check everything we found a Crack pipe wrapped up in toilet paper stuffed behind the night stand in between the bed. My friend Un wrapped UT and busted it and threw in the trash can. Went to turn the keys to the room in told the manger Lisa and she acted like she didn't know nothing about it. The hallway smells of weed and plus there were smoki g in the hallway . And found someone else's clothes in the drawers. The hotel used to be very up kept but now it's run down.

I stayed here for almost 3 months while I was looking for a place to live here in Johnson county the rooms are clean the staff is awesome here and the manager Lisa is friendly and helpful. I recommend this place . If you are looking for a warm friendly cozy place to stay while you're here in Johnson county this is the place to stay. It is very beautiful here and has beautiful views. Also the county puts out a local newspaper once a week and you're able to get the paper free which is very very great.

All the employees were very nice. Lobby has dirty rugs that did not get any cleaner during my stay. My room was functional but smelled strongly of mold. The chairs were exceptionally moldy smelling. When using the heater, the smell was overwhelming and resulted in me awaking at night with a sore throat. The pillows on the bed had hairs on them, luckily I brought my own sheets and blanket. The show was amazingly hot and great pressure. However, it leaked all night. There was no sign of any bedbugs, which is why I chose to stay despite the issues. The door chain lock is not strong, I would suggest bringing a bar to secure it. Overall, it is well overpriced for the quality and cleanliness of the place, but options in the town are very limited

Location is nice. Love the mountains and seeing the tail end of the fall foliage. Staff are very nice and welcoming. Rooms are alright. Good for a quick stay. Sad that there’s no breakfast, but it’s also understandable.
But i do agree about the cigarette smell in the hallways and lobby.. its pretty strong, even in the non-smoking area.

Will not let me add pictures or videos but I do have them if whoever is over this hotel needs them or cares. Had reservations. Called about 1 pm to let them know I would not be there until around 9 pm. I was told no worry my room was ready. Arrived at almost 10. Got there checked in. Struggled to get our stuff out in the rain and all taken up the stairs. Opened the door to my room and it was a mess. TV was still on. Trash filled cans, beds covers piled up. Yes I have pictures and a video. Went down stairs to ask was they sure that was my room and she said yes. I requested someone please clean my room and she told me she wasn't house keeping she wasn't cleaning it that I rented it. I requested another room. She said she has one left down stairs and took me to it. When she opened the door the window was propped open which to me would be a safety issue to every guest in the building. She shut the window and let me know I could have this room but I could not get a key to it I would need to have her to lock and unlock it. I said no to that as again that does not sound safety either. I asked for a refund. She refused said I rented a room I could take it or go down the street to mountains empire she didn't care. I asked for a manager number and the clerks boyfriend who was sitting in the lobby with 2 six packs of beer drinking told me to take my a$& out of there he wasn't dealing with me. I did get a number to reservations. The two of them went up stairs while I was in lobby trying to call reservation. I just packed the car up and took the best advice they had and that was to go down the road to mountain empire. The clerk there was amazing. My room was clean. Yes a little out dated but still more in date than at this place. Reservation did get me a refund once I was able to reach them. But I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Not only was the arrival terrible. Pictures online is so out dated. They are no pool and also they have not served breakfast at this hotel in over a year they are a note hanging inside about no breakfast. Just save your self time, money and safety risk by skipping this nasty rude hotel.

My family and I stayed there this weekend. It was amazing! The staff was super friendly. Our room was very clean. The hotel smelled really good. I love the rustic feel. I love the rocking chairs in the lobby. I loved looking at the lobby over the rail on the second floor. We had coffee in the morning. The hotel is in a very convenient location and is very easy to find. We will be staying here for now on anytime we are in the area.

I was VERY worried about this hotel. I prayed a lot. I saw that it was one of 2 in the area. And when we called they no longer offered breakfast( the whole reason I booked with them) and the pool was closed.
I had read a couple of reviews that made me nervous. And we had JUST stayed in a similar hotel in Danville VA for my son’s karate tournament. Our room there had not been cleaned. So I was worried about a reoccurrence.

When we called, we were told our room had recently just been updated. I was STILL worried.

We came out to Mountain City to see the braves VS Reds game in Bristol.

As we pulled up, it did look a little run down.

But upon entering I’d smelled good. It was clean.
I saw the lobby had been updated some from the photos online.

The people there were genuinely kind and you can tell they care about their jobs and service.

The room was clean. Smelled good. And HAD BEEN UPDATED.
The pillows were a little too soft for my liking. But that’s a preference. The bedding appears almost brand new. The shower is brand new. Looks as if most things are brand new.
The vanity lighting is real lighting that so that you can actually see while applying makeup or doing hair. (I will show how bright it is on my skin)
The floors are Genuinely CLEANED. You can walk barefoot.

The vibes are GREAT. So peaceful. So quiet. No chaos or crime.
It feels safe.

The carpets in the hall look clean. They don’t smell. (Smell is a big issue to me because I have a nose like a dog!)

The people working are clearly working hard. They are not rude. And they actually hold conversations with you and treat you like a human.

We will be back (hopefully in September)
But we will definitely use THIS hotel every time we come out here. I won’t even bother looking anywhere else.

We also did add an extra day after the game was rescheduled

No bed bugs. No cockroaches. No mold. No smells. No dirty stinking smelling anything.

And I love they still put bibles in the night stands!

Oh! The plug did not work by my sink. Forgot to tell y’all. And there is a little more caulking that needs done around the edge of the bath so it lasts a long time, and a leak out of the shower faucet at the bottom. Coming out the back by the wall. Didn’t bug me, but want yall to be able to alleviate future damage.
