They lied on both the website and Google, they don't do breakfast.

The rooms themselves are worse than I expected, but not awful. They are a bit dingy and run down, with a slightly odd smell. The beds are not very comfortable, but fine for one or two nights. The sheets were kind of dirty and there were a couple bugs in the bathroom. The appliances are all old and half broken. They also have a really weird carpet outside on the walkway. Luckily the floor inside the room is hard, so it's easier to keep clean-ish. The table and chairs are nice, and the tv works fine.

The area is a bit sketchy, we tried to go to the store and two random people started fighting right in front of the door. At least the lake is pretty.

I would recommend trying somewhere else first, but if you have to come here it's not awful.

Main reason we booked here was it promised free breakfast on the Google maps page, which they do not actually provide, disappointing.

Other than that, the room was alright. Good size, nice beds and decently sized fridge. The restroom is a little dated and I’m not sure I’d want to use the shower personally as it’s a little grimy.

Positive: The hotel is clean and quiet, way above the 3 star rating it had. The staff is welcoming, kind, and helpful. The view of the Lake is great, even in the rain! We had a much better stay than expected, we will be back. Negative: It was raining, but Winter is responsible for that, nice hotel for a lake getaway base.

I was very impressed with this small motel. We rented two rooms - one was a suite and one was a mini suite. You do have to keep in mind this is an older property. And I was happy with both rooms. And the managers are terrific. I hadn’t been to Clear Lake for ages. Like decades and I didn’t know what to expect. I would definitely stay here again.

Will not stay here ever again the owners over charge for dogs per night you stay. There is no maid here there are nasty stained and holey sheets. 2 towels plus a wash cloth and a hand towel this place is not recommended the owners are too greedy even worse to the homeless. This place is so dirty. They are never full always have most rooms empty don't believe what you see on there web page it's all LIES the don't even give you anykind of breakfast i saw 3 men go into room 107. They stayed about an hour then went into the owners house got food went back to the room and left an hour later. The room was never cleaned. They even had the MAID out blowing leaves cuz he to LAZY. DO NOT STAY HERE ITS GROSS

I chose this place because they allow pets. I called about 3hrs earlier to check availability and the person on the phone was very nice and knowledgeable. The person in the counter was very welcoming, I think she was the same person I talked to on the phone. I was able to get the lake view suit which is Room 211 (I noticed later the paper work said Room 210). I was verbally told Room 211 and the electronic card key had 211 written on it.

The room had a king size bed, couch, table, dresser, tv, small refrigerator and a microwave. The microwave unfortunately didn't work sometimes and sometimes it did. I saw spider webs in one corner, there was some kind of dried bloodstained in the post where the bathroom door closed. The bathroom door also had a small broken crack. I had to wipe the table before using it because it was a bit sticky.

The room was supposed to be a non-smoking room but I'm not sure if people previously broke that rule because it smelled a bit of cigar. Unless the neighboring rooms are smoking rooms and the smoke went in through the vents.

I like the room for having the lake view. I was able to see the sunset from the window as the sun went down the other side of the mountain. That was beautiful. The room was clean aside from the spider web and the bit of left over smoke odor. The bed was comfortable and it seemed clean. The towels seemed clean, I used them. The couch also seemed comfortable. Not sure if there were people next to me or the room was well insulated but I didn't hear anyone next to me.

I like the location of the place because it's right next to the lake. They have a spot for dogs to walk around. They also have a sturdy walking area to the lake and it is lighted so you can walk there in the day time and at night. I was able to see part of the Milky Way from that "boardwalk" at night.

I'm not sure if there's people who are there for extended stay but if they did I didn't notice them. There's also a pool that seemed clean. I didn't use it, no reason.

With small improvements (cigar smell) and what I've mentioned above, I would definitely stay here again.

Solid 3 star lodging. Stayed for one quick night during a road trip. Only $15 for the dog. Floors were wood and tile instead of carpet, which was great and felt very clean. Pros: Heater worked well, fridge, microwave, basic coffee, friendly and easygoing staff. Cons: Weird and low shower head, no green area for the dog, dirty TV remote, mattress is soft and not super comfortable, but ok. Not fancy, but excellent choice for what we needed. Arrived late and left early, so did not experience the lake.

Originally I was going to write a reasonably favourable review but then ….||To begin - checked in at about 5 pm and that was pleasant and easy enough. I had made our booking some weeks earlier using an booking agency. ||The motel is one of the older style. Lakeside location seemed good and that was pleasant looking across the lake in late afternoon sun. However restaurants were some distance away and I wouldn't feel too comfortable strolling in the area.. The yard was grubby and could do with cleaning. There was laundry and rubbish still outside the units and on the ground. The room was fine and seemed clean. Breakfast wasvery basic. Then again this is one of the lower priced options in Clearlake.||So why won't we return? Once home I checked through our credit card statement and compared with our booking quote. We had been charged 25% more than the quote. I contacted the booking agent (Agoda) and supplied the required information. They went to the motel and the reason was we stole pillows, towels and - get this - the TV guide card! ||Now ask yourself - why would someone from overseas take thin and rather mean towels and who has room in their international flight luggage room for pillows! As for the TV guide card .. that would be absolutely useless overseas! They were lying.||||But I had held my trump card for my reply. I asked Agoda how did the motel staff know when I checked in that we were going to steal their property? How can I make that statement? I always ask for a receipt on check in. My receipt clearly showed the overcharge was made at check-in. I didn't look at the receipt then for every other charge so far on our four week tour had been correct. ||The motel staff were actually were concocting a response to justify their overcharge but in fact they made a big mistake. Now we can all make mistakes. It is best to just admit it and in this case refund the difference and all will be happy. But to lie and accuse a customer of theft cannot be justified. They do not deserve to be in business.||So be warned.Check the charge should you go there.||And good on Agoda for they kept on the case.
